Prince William

The incident began on Catlett Road in Fauquier County when a license plate reader flagged a stolen black Chevrolet Camaro. A deputy attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled at speeds over 100 mph, running a red light, striking a cruiser, and hitting a stop stick before a PIT maneuver sent the car into a house on Winston Place in Bealeton. A juvenile female passenger was apprehended and released to family.


Prince William

“This sick illegal alien from El Salvador now faces three felony charges for raping a girl under the age of 15,” Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said, WJLA-TV reported. “DHS is asking sanctuary politicians in Prince William County, Virginia to not release this pedophile from jail and cooperate with ICE law enforcement.”

DHS states that 31-year-old Cristian Romario Saenz-Argueta, who entered the U.S. illegally, used social media to meet and then sexually assault a girl under 15 in Prince William County. He faces charges including rape by force, threat or intimidation and carnal knowledge of a child. Prince William County officials oversee policies on ICE cooperation, including a prior decision to end its 287(g) agreement.


Prince William

“It is further ORDERED that this civil action be and is STAYED pending the Virginia Supreme Court’s resolution of Board of County Supervisors of Prince William County v. Oak Valley Homeowners Association. Inc.,” InsideNoVa reported. “and it is further ORDERED that by October 30, 2026, the parties file a joint status report informing the Court of the status of the litigation before the Virginia Supreme Court.”

The federal lawsuit led by Pageland Lane landowner Mary Ann Ghadban and other property owners against data center developer QTS was placed on hold as the broader challenge to the massive Digital Gateway rezoning heads to the Virginia Supreme Court. Ghadban had agreed to sell her land to QTS contingent on rezoning approval for the proposed 2,100-acre project that would feature over 22 million square feet of data centers.


Spotsylvania

“A man drowned at Lake Anna State Park in Spotsylvania County on Thursday,” WTVR CBS 6 reported. “Park guests found the man unresponsive in about 10 feet of water Thursday afternoon.”

Park rangers and guests pulled the man from the water and began CPR before Spotsylvania Fire and Rescue arrived and continued lifesaving efforts. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification, and the beach remains closed until further notice.


Fairfax

“Life in prison is a punishment reserved for a very small number of individuals, those whom the community has determined should never walk free again,” Fairfax County Circuit Court Judge Penny S. Azcarate said, ffxnow.com reported. “As I listen to the evidence of the case and listen to your testimony, it is apparent that I am once again looking at that same kind of evil.”

“Joe wasn’t the disposable caricature he was made out to be. He had a face, he had a name, he had a life, but Brendan Banfield shot his face, soiled his name, and treated his life as disposable,” Ryan’s mother, Deirdre Fisher, testified, ffxnow.com reported.


Police Blotter

Additional reports detail a malicious wounding at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, an arrest in a separate assault on a juvenile in Woodbridge, and a self-inflicted gunshot wound tied to drug charges in Manassas. A middle school weapon possession case and a residential break-in round out the latest activity.

On June 2 at 4:25 p.m., officers responded to Dumfries Public Cemetery at 17821 Mine Road in Dumfries after a report of a person in crisis. They located a 50-year-old woman in a wooded area who was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary findings indicate no signs of foul play. The investigation continues.


Fredericksburg

Fredericksburg police have released new details in a domestic-related shooting and crash that killed two people on June 3.

Officers responded around 5:32 p.m. to reports of shots fired. A male driver pursued a female driver in separate vehicles along Olde William Street and Emancipation Highway. He fired multiple rounds at her car, according to police. The female driver crashed near College Avenue and Emancipation Highway after being shot several times. She was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.


Fredericksburg

Stafford

“First arriving units marked on scene less than 5 minutes later and confirmed heavy smoke and fire coming from the front and rear of at least two townhouses, spreading into their respective attic spaces,” Stafford County Fire and Rescue announced. “The fire was brought under control in approximately 30 minutes.”

No occupants were injured, though one firefighter was evaluated on scene. In total, 10 adults and 8 children are being assisted by the American Red Cross after two townhomes were severely damaged and others sustained moderate to mild damage. The cause remains under investigation by the Stafford County Fire Marshal’s Office, with mutual aid from neighboring departments.
