The man suspected of abducting the woman from her home in New York and then taking her to Virginia, where she died following shots fired after a police pursuit, remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Today, Virginia State Police said 34-year-old Michael Davis of Chesterfield County, Virginia, abducted 34-year-old Tatiana David, with whom he shared a child, according to media reports.

Police said the driver was involved in an argument with the 33-year-old woman who, along with the 5-year-old, were passengers inside his car. The driver intentionally drove into oncoming traffic and struck an oncoming car, police said.

The 33-year-old woman and child died at a hospital, while doctors treated the 46-year-old woman at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Updated April 7 — Two 17-year-old boys traveled from Woodbridge to Stafford before shots rang out, injuring one of the boys and a 15-year-old Stafford boy.

The 17-year-old teens met the 15-year-old at the Park Ridge swimming pool, a park in the residential neighborhood in North Stafford on Parkway Boulevard. Detectives say a struggle ensued, leading to the 15-year-old boy being shot in the back and a 17-year-old in the leg.

Prince William police said 37-year-old Richard Del Cid was shot to death outside a Food Lion store near Dale City on March 20, 2023.

Today, police released the victim’s identity and the name of the man they say shot him — Mauricio Antonio Mayorga, 46, who has since been processed into an Arlington County jail on an unrelated charge.

The extended lunch period known as “power hour” has ended at one Stafford County high school.

Colonial Forge Principal Gregory Daniel announced power hour was over following a fight between two multiple students, prompting a 911 call to the school. So far, the sheriff’s office says students were involved in fights that broke out at 10:40 a.m. today, Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
