Stafford Hospital commemorates its fifteenth anniversary in 2024. Opening its doors in 2009, Stafford Hospital quickly became a cornerstone of healthcare in the region, complementing the existing services and meeting the growing needs of the Stafford community.

Over the past decade and a half, Stafford Hospital has been a hub of healthcare activity, delivering thousands of babies and attending to hundreds of thousands of patients in the Emergency Department. The hospital owes much of its success to the efforts of its dedicated team, supported by numerous volunteers who have contributed countless hours of service.

Michael Huntley, Fredericksburg’s celebrity musician, has canceled his Friday, Mar. 1 concert to protest ticket prices.

Huntley won season 24 of The Voice. A private meet and greet was set for tomorrow, Friday, March 1, at 8 p.m. at the Virginia Credit Union stadium in Fredericksburg. Huntley had promoted this event on his Facebook page as recently as Feb. 26.


Prince William

(The Center Square) — The use of a male pronoun interrupted the Virginia Senate’s proceedings on Monday.

The state’s first senator to openly identify as transgender, Sen. Danica Roem, D-Prince William, addressed Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears, who presides over the chamber, with some questions. Sears seemingly offhandedly referred to Roem as “sir” in her second response to the senator.
