In the early hours of October 14, a 21-year-old man was driving near Alabama Ave and Kentucky Ave in Woodbridge when a bullet hit his vehicle. The incident occurred at 1:26 a.m., prompting the driver to leave the area and contact the police.

Officers responded to the scene to investigate the shots-fired call. Despite checking the area, no suspects were located, and no injuries or further property damage were reported.

Fredericksburg

On October 9, 2023, a jury in the Circuit Court of Fredericksburg found a 23-year-old man guilty of the murder of Antoine Fox, which occurred on June 10, 2022. The case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Brian A. Cardoza, with assistance from other legal and law enforcement professionals.

The conviction was the result of a collaborative effort between the Fredericksburg Police Department and the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. The Commonwealth’s Attorney expressed gratitude for the partnership and the dedication of the police detectives involved in the case.

Breaking News

Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 90-year-old man in the 9300 block of Beauregard Avenue in Manassas. Officers were first called to the scene around 7:35 a.m. on Monday, October 13, and confirmed the death as suspicious a few hours later.

Authorities say the man’s next of kin has been notified, but no other details have been released. Investigators remain at the house to process the scene.
