Man, 22 killed in crash in Nokesville

Fatal Crash Investigation — On May 26 at 7:35 p.m., investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 13300 block of Bristow Rd. in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of 2005 Subaru WRX was traveling northbound on Bristow Rd. when the vehicle crossed over the center line and struck a 2013 Nissan Leaf traveling the opposite direction. The driver of the Subaru was extricated from the vehicle and transported to an area hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries sustained during the crash. The driver of the Nissan was also transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Speed is a factor in the crash. The driver of the Subaru was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. The investigation continues.


Prince William

Police are investigating another fatal crash on Cardinal Drive in Woodbridge.

Fatal Crash Investigation – On May 23 at 7:48 a.m., investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Cardinal Dr. and Swan Way in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a two-vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2006 Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound on Cardinal Dr. near Swan Way at a high rate of speed when the vehicle struck a 2005 Toyota Camry from behind that was traveling in the same direction.

Police in Prince William County said a report of a rape that occurred in a grassy area on Golansky Boulevard, near BJ’s Wholesale Club was unfounded.

We reported the case last week and, today, Prince William police provided this update:


Prince William

Malicious Wounding by Mob – On May 10 at 3:08AM, officers responded to the Bayvue Apartments located in the 1400 block of Bayside Ave. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a 42-year-old man, suffering from severe stab wounds and provided immediate first aid until rescue personnel arrived.

The victim was flown to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that a group of men were in the above area when an altercation ensued. During the altercation, a second victim, a 33-year-old man, was struck resulting in minor injuries before the parties separated.

Cierra Dickerson appears in a Prince William County courtroom on July 1 to enter a plea after being charged in the racing death of a Woodbridge woman.

Dickerson is charged with the death of Deborah Lynn Talbot, who was walking her dog along Cardinal Drive on May 1, 2020. Police said Dickerson was racing her car when she struck and killed Talbot.
