A 20-year-old Woodbridge man was stabbed to death early Saturday morning during an altercation at a Shell gas station in Dumfries.

Prince William County police responded to the Shell station at 17250 Dumfries Road around 12:10 a.m. May 17 and found Jonathan David Ferreyra Agapito with a stab wound near the gas pumps. Medics provided aid, but he was pronounced dead on scene.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of Potomac Vista Drive around 8:58 p.m. on May 12. The victim had already been taken to a hospital by a family member, where he later died. Police said the man was involved in a fight with one person when a third man pulled out a gun and shot him. The two suspects left the area.

Detectives do not believe the shooting was random. Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the police. Additional details will be released as they become available.

Virginia State Police closed a 52-year-old homicide case after determining that the husband of Shirley L. Washington, 33, of Washington, D.C., was responsible for her murder. She was found with eight stab wounds in Conway Robinson State Forest outside Gainesville on December 8, 1973. The suspect died in 2013, and Prince William County prosecutors say evidence supports his involvement, but the case cannot be prosecuted due to time passed and other factors.

The Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Fairfax Field Office has closed a 52-year-old homicide investigation. Shirley L. Washington, 33, of Washington, D.C. was found murdered in Conway Robinson State Forest outside Gainesville, Va., on December 8, 1973. Investigative work from BCI Special Agents has now determined that Washington’s husband, Clarence E. Washington, of Washington, D.C., was involved in her death. Clarence Washington died in 2013 at age 68, and the Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office has stated that if not for his death, the case would have been prosecuted.

Prince William County police responded around 10:23 p.m. April 13 to the area of Centreville Road and Leland Road near Manassas. Investigators said the boy had left his home and was running in the roadway, crossing Centreville Road northbound, when a 2012 Honda Civic hit him. He was not in a crosswalk or safe crossing area at the time. Bystanders performed CPR until the child was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

The driver, identified as Jacinto Josue Ezequiel Jacinto Morales, 30, of Centreville, stayed at the scene and was not hurt. He faces a charge of driving without a license, third offense. His court date is pending, and he was released on a summons. The boy’s name is not being released because of his age.

A 41-year-old Manassas man died Friday afternoon, April 10, 2026, after his car pulled onto Harbor Drive from a private road and was struck by another vehicle in the Lake Ridge area of Woodbridge.

Prince William County police responded around 2:29 p.m. April 10 to the intersection of Harbor Drive and a private road across from 12730 Harbor Drive. Investigators said Joseph Franklin Ledoux was driving a 2014 Hyundai Sonata when it entered Harbor Drive and collided with a southbound 2018 Dodge Durango. Ledoux was pronounced dead at the scene.

Prince William County detectives arrested an 18-year-old Dumfries man Wednesday in connection with the fatal shooting of another 18-year-old during a confrontation near basketball courts in the 1800 block of Potomac Shores Parkway.

Kennsington Duane Adams, 18, of Dumfries, was taken into custody at his home with help from the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force. He faces charges of second-degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, discharge of a firearm into an occupied dwelling, willful discharge of a firearm in a public place, and concealed carry. He is being held without bond; a court date is pending.

Prince William County detectives charged J’Shaun Zomari Williams on March 23 in connection with the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man at Potomac Shores on March 9, marking the most recent development in the ongoing murder investigation.

Detectives took Williams into custody with assistance from the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force in Richmond. This arrest follows two prior arrests in the case.

Prince William County police were called at 12:04 p.m. to the intersection of Parkgate Drive and Old Church Road in Nokesville for reports of the crash.

Investigators determined that the driver was traveling north on Parkgate Drive, just beyond Old Church Road, at a high rate of speed when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree. Both occupants were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives executed a search warrant at the Gainesville home of the primary suspect, 19-year-old J’Shaun Zomari Williams, of the 14200 block of Haro Trail. Williams was not located during the attempted service of the warrants and remains at large. Police are asking the public for help in locating him.

Williams, described as a Black male, 6’1”, 175 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes, faces charges including murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, discharge of a firearm into an occupied dwelling, willful discharge of a firearm in a public place, concealed carry, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
