Updated 4 p.m. — Nearly 700 students were absent today from classes at Stafford High School.
School officials say may students tested positive for influenza, and reported gastrointestinal issues. The latter may be due to a separate illness, said school division spokeswoman Sandra Osborn.
The Prince William County Electoral Board will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday, October 26 in Manassas.
The meeting comes after the Republican Party of Virginia filed a lawsuit against the Prince William County Elections Office.

The Prince William County GOP condemned the action, calling it “wrong” and “illegal.” Spanberger is the Democrat incumbent in Virginia’s 7th congressional district and is challenged by Republican Yesli Vega.

Updated 3:30 p.m. — Police in Manassas put in nine hours working an active investigation in the 8500 block of Bruton Parish Court near UVA Prince William Medical Center.
Police now tell us they were investigating a suspicious death. Investigators say they didn’t know the cause of death and released no other information.
