Stafford County Sheriff’s Office: “On August 8th at approximately 12:54 p.m. deputies responded to the intersection of Richmond Highway and Eskimo Hill Road for a report of an auto accident. Deputies quickly arrived on scene to discover a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a box truck. The 19-year-old motorcycle driver was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the box truck was uninjured and remained on scene.”

“The preliminary investigation, along with crash scene evidence collected by our Traffic Safety Unit, indicated the motorcycle was traveling Northbound on Richmond Highway at a high rate of speed and struck the box truck as it turned left from Southbound Richmond Highway onto Eskimo Hill Road. Neither driver had enough reaction time to avoid the accident.”

Stafford County Sheriff’s Department:ASSAULT: Ferry Road, 8/4, 1:51 a.m. Deputy S.A. Fulford responded to a disturbance. When he arrived at the residence, he discovered an assault had occurred. An alcohol involved get together spiraled out of control when one of the females got rather unruly and assaulted and bit the victim. She was arrested for assault and battery and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2,000 secured bond.”

BURGLARY: D&Z Vape Tobacco, 8/4, 4:12 a.m. Staff advised they were in the back of the store when they observed an unexpected visitor. A rock was used to break the glass door. When the suspect fled the area, much like Hansel and Gretel, they left behind a trail of stolen vapes that led to Juggins Road. Deputy R.J. Kemp is investigating.”


Prince William

Prince William Police Department: Malicious Wounding – On August 5 at 4:33 a.m., officers responded to the Bayvue Apartments located in the 1400 block of Bayside Avenue in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed the victim, a 25-year-old man, and another man, identified as the accused, were involved in a physical altercation. During the encounter, the accused possessed a chainsaw and struck the victim before another occupant of the residence intervened and separated the parties. The accused was known to the occupants of the apartment and fled prior to police arriving in the area. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Maynor Noe SANCHEZ PEREZ. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful. Wanted: [No Photo Available] Maynor Noe SANCHEZ PEREZ, 30, of the 100 block of Norman Road in Stafford. Described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’10, 170lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. Wanted for malicious wounding.”

Shooting into an Unoccupied Vehicle | Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On August 4 at 10:40 p.m., officers responded to the 13900 block of Rope Drive in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate shots fired call. The investigation revealed the victim, a 50-year-old man, was working on a vehicle parked in the above area when he was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the suspect brandished a firearm and fired multiple rounds toward the victim. The victim could flee the area on foot and was not injured. While investigating the incident, officers determined the man was possibly with a group of other men near a brown-colored vehicle prior to the encounter. While checking the area, officers located two vehicles that sustained damage, consisting with being struck by projectiles and shell casings in the roadway. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. Suspect Description: A Hispanic male, approximately 20 years old, 5’7, 170lbs., with short straight hair and glasses. Last seen wearing a dark blue colored polo-style shirt and khaki shorts.”

Prince William police: “Murder Investigation – On August 5 at 10:24PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 800 block of Fulton Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed the victim, a 33-year-old man, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in an altercation outside the home that escalated physically. During the encounter, the accused stabbed the victim before chasing him to the backyard area where the victim then collapsed.”

“Arriving officers attempted to provide first aid to the victim who was pronounced dead on scene. The accused remained at the home and was detained by officers without incident. No other injuries were reported. Further information regarding the identity of the deceased will be released pending notification of a next-of-kin. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Heriberto VALDEZ, was arrested.”

Prince William County Police Department: 

Attempted Armed Robbery – On August 2 at 7:36 p.m., officers responded to Dona Bessy Pupuseria located at 10386 Festival Lane in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted robbery. The investigation revealed an unknown man, later identified as the accused, walked to the register where he brandished a knife and demanded money. When another employee intervened, the accused fled the store without obtaining any money. While investigating the incident, officers located the accused nearby and detained him without incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified Shane Davis LUCAS, was arrested. Arrested on August 2: Shane David LUCAS, 19, of 12911 Swedes Street in Fairfax. Charged with attempted robbery. Court Date: Pending | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond.”

LARCENY: Extra Space Storage, 2795 Richmond Highway, 8/2, 11:18 a.m. Sergeant K.P. Lytle responded to a larceny. The victim advised her storage unit was unlawfully entered and multiple items were stolen. Sergeant Lytle is investigating.”

PUBLIC INTOXICATION: Sheetz, 10 Washington Square Plaza, 8/2, 10:32 p.m. Deputy S.A. Fulford responded to a disturbance. The caller advised there was a vomit covered male passed out in a vehicle. When Deputy Fulford arrived, he made contact with the male who had multiple signs of being intoxicated. He was arrested for public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional jail until sober.

Manassas City Police Department: “Shots Fired: On August 1, 2023, at 10:00 p.m., Manassas City Police responded to the 9300 block of Taney Road for a shooting. Officers arrived on the scene and located a victim of an apparent gunshot wound. Officers began life-saving measures and summoned rescue personnel. The victim was airlifted to a local area hospital for further treatment. An extensive investigation was launched in coordination with local law enforcement K9 officers. Officers were able to identify and locate the suspect. The juvenile suspect was apprehended and a Detention Order was served. The investigation is active and ongoing. “Shots Fired: On August 1, 2023, at 6:55 p.m. Manassas City Police responded to the area of Taney Road and Hood Road with a report of gunfire.When officers arrived, they began to canvas the area and located several shell casings. Two vehicles and a residence were struck. Officers were unable to locate any injured person for this incident. The investigation is active and ongoing.”

Stafford County Sheriff’s Office:DUI: Cambridge Street, 7/28, 5:44 p.m. Multiple drivers called to report a vehicle swerving and zigzagging down Richmond Highway.”

“Sergeant J.W. Hutcheson located the weaving vehicle and conducted a traffic stop as Deputy S. Waheed responded to assist. The driver had glassy eyes, the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath, and admitted to consuming ‘a little bit’ of alcohol.”

Stafford County Sheriff’s Office: DRUGS: Red Roof Inn, 153 Garrisonville Road, 7/31, 1:17 p.m. Dirty Dollar. Staff found a dollar bill in the lobby only to unroll it to discover it coated in suspected controlled substances. Any recent residents that dropped their drugs, Deputy J.A. Brooks seized it and is more than willing to meet you.”

LARCENY: Plantation Drive, 7/30, 4:41 p.m. Fraudulent Foe. The victim had his credit cards for his Taco Bell run last night; however, realized today it was gone without a trace. Later, he received notification of fraudulent activity for his cards and froze his accounts. Deputy C.M. Sterne is investigating.”
