Stafford County Sheriff’s Department:“On January 2 at approximately 7:58 a.m. Communications Officers received a call from someone advising they had just been stabbed. Due to the nature of the call, deputies quickly responded to the Shelton Knolls Subdivision. When deputies arrived, they observed two males holding another down. Deputies took over the scene by detaining the suspect, providing first aid to the victim, and uncovering what occurred.”

“It was discovered the suspect, Randull Washington Jr., was upset due to a family matter and began making threats. An argument escalated into a fight between Washington Jr. and another family member. The victim attempted to intervene in the altercation when Washington Jr. stabbed him in the back of the neck. Both the family member and victim were able to disarm Washington Jr. and hold him down until deputies arrived.”

“Park Ridge Subdivision, 1/3, 12:03 a.m. Deputy P.J. Leon responded to a disturbance. A neighbor advised he believed a juvenile party was occurring. When Deputy Leon arrived and looked through the open door, he observed a party much like a scene from the movie Sixteen Candles, complete with beer pong, marijuana, and juveniles. Criminal complaints for unlawful possession of alcohol and underage possession of marijuana were filed for the juvenile hosting the party at his residence. The other 12 party goers were turned over to a responsible guardian.”

“Target, 1090 Stafford Market Place, 1/2, 3:17 p.m. Deputy X.D. Bates responded to a larceny. Staff advised two individuals stole approximately $800 worth of items. They further advised both suspects have been seen stealing from other Targets in the area. Deputy Bates was able to identify both suspects and warrants will be obtained.”


Breaking News

We’re updating this post, which you read first here on Potomac Local News on Thursday night. Police are now offering a  $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest of the person who shot a woman in the neck and killed her.

Murder Investigation – On December 28 at 7:56AM, officers responded to a wooded area behind a business located in the 1200 block of Easy St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a death. The investigation revealed the victim, a 51-year-old woman, was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the upper body and was pronounced dead on scene. During the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as an acquaintance of the victim, and that the shooting stemmed from an earlier argument over fentanyl pills. Detectives have since obtained arrest warrants for the suspect, identified as Karen Nicole POLLARD. Attempts to locate the suspect have been unsuccessful. The police department is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of this suspect. The investigation continues.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:

“Intersection of Warrenton Road and Melchers Drive, 12/25, 3:10 p.m. Deputy C.T. Richardson responded to an indecent exposure call. The caller advised they observed what they thought to be two people having sex in a Prius. When Deputy Richardson arrived on scene, he observed a female bottomless shaking her hips towards Warrenton Road. After putting her clothes back on, she attempted to leave despite being informed she was detained. Deputy Richardson observed several signs of her being under the influence. While before the magistrate, the suspects less than cooperative behavior continued when she assaulted a jail staff member. She was charged with indecent exposure, public intoxication, obstruction of justice, and assault and battery on jail staff. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.”
