On September 25, deputies were called to O’Reilly Auto Parts at 38 Bojangles Way following reports of fraud suspects in the store. Employees, aware of the suspects from previous incidents involving bounced checks, alerted law enforcement upon their arrival. First Sergeant J.D. Floirendo spotted the suspects’ vehicle entering I-95 North and followed them to a Sheetz station at 15 Wyche Road, where a high-risk traffic stop was executed. Both suspects were detained without incident.


Manassas

On September 26, officers investigated an abduction in Gainesville involving a 22-year-old woman who was forced into a vehicle by a friend and then inappropriately touched. The suspect was arrested and charged with abduction, sexual assault, and assault and battery.

Updated 4 p.m. —  A former Spotsylvania County school bus aid is charged with sexually abusing a child on a school bus, police said. The former employee’s August 5, 2024, and the termination date was September 26, 2024, said Spotsylvania County Public Schools spokeswoman Renee Daniels.

Authorities said the man lives in Fredericksburg.

On September 26, officers investigated a bomb threat at Brixx Wood Fired Pizza, prompted by a phone call from a Woodbridge man, police said. The restaurant was evacuated, police didn’t find a bomb, and the caller was charged with making a threat to bomb.

On September 26, officers near Manassas attempted to detain Jaime Antoni Villatoro Santos, who actively resisted and assaulted an officer. He was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and obstruction of justice.

He is known to frequent the Sable Ct. and Portal Ct. areas of Dale City, and anyone with information is urged to contact local authorities.

On September 25, investigators charged Lesly Miraya-Mayuri, 21, with DUI manslaughter following a fatal crash on September 13 near Woodbridge that killed a passenger, Elvis Gabriel Alvarez, 23, and injured a Woodbridge woman. The accused was found to be intoxicated and driving the wrong way when the collision occurred, and has a court date set for October 9, 2024.

On September 25, crash investigators charged 21-year-old Lesly Miraya-Mayuri with DUI manslaughter following a fatal crash that occurred on September 13 on Caton Hill Rd near Killarney Dr in Woodbridge. The crash killed a 23-year-old passenger, Elvis Gabriel Alvarez, in the same vehicle and seriously injured a 67-year-old woman driving another car.

The investigation revealed that Miraya-Mayuri, driving a 2017 Toyota Camry, was intoxicated and traveling the wrong direction when the head-on collision with a 2015 Toyota Corolla occurred. Neither Miraya-Mayuri nor her passenger was wearing seatbelts at the time. Miraya-Mayuri was arrested and is scheduled for a court appearance on October 9, 2024, with a $10,000 unsecured bond. Investigators are still seeking witnesses to the crash.

Detectives are investigating a murder-suicide incident where Davaughn Jamaal Henderson, 33, and Ashleigh Kaylynn Cash, 30, both from Dumfries, were found dead from gunshot wounds inside a residence on Fort Monroe Circle in Dumfries on August 7.

The investigation suggests that Henderson shot Cash and then himself following an altercation between the two, who were in a relationship. The event is believed to be domestic in nature. A firearm was recovered at the scene, and police are continuing their investigation, seeking any additional information from the public.
