A Gainesville man faces charges in a fatal crash in Fauquier County.
Virginia State Police Trooper T. Ralls is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash in Fauquier County. On Thursday, March 24, the crash occurred at 8:22 p.m. along Route 17, just Leeds Manor Road.
A Stafford man is in jail after authorities said he fired multiple rounds from a handgun at his neighbor.
At 8:40 a.m. on Sunday, March 27, the authorities received 911 calls for shots fired on Aster Lane, off of Bells Hill Road. A resident had walked outside his home and greeted his neighbor, asking if he was okay.

Someone fire a gun near Rippon Middle School in Woodbridge today. Police arrested a 20-year-old man they say was wearing a ski mask, and had been involved in a argument just before he fired a shot.
No one was injured.
In today’s Prince William County police report, a school resource officer was called int a classroom after a student claimed to have a bomb in his bag, police said.
Bomb Threat Investigation – On March 22 at 1:00PM, the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Woodbridge High School, located at 3001 Old Bridge Rd. in Woodbridge (22192), was contacted regarding a student who made a bomb threat while on school grounds.
Police said a 20-year-woman was forced to perform sex acts at a motel, and a county store.
Human Trafficking Investigation – On March 21, detectives with the Special Investigations Bureau concluded an investigation into human trafficking that was reported to have occurred at two separate locations, the Red Roof Inn located at 17113 Dumfries Rd. in Dumfries and the Oak Hill General Store located at 12203 Kahns Rd. in Manassas (20112) that evening.
A trio of thieves was charged and over $7,500 of stolen property was recovered after the investigative efforts of Stafford County deputies and detectives.
Between February 27 and March 9, deputies were called to to seven thefts of chainsaws, weed eaters, leaf blowers, generators, and power tools in the Hartwood area. The suspects entered sheds and garages to steal the items and proceeded to pawn the stolen equipment at pawn shops in Spotsylvania County.
The identity of the deceased is pending official confirmation through further scientific analysis by the Medical Examiner’s Office, police said.
