A 45-year-old woman is charged with indecent exposure at the Bayvue Apartments in Woodbridge.
On October 5, security reported a resident walking through the building, exposing herself, police said. Officers attempted to speak with her, but she refused to cooperate. An arrest warrant was obtained, and she was taken into custody the following day after resisting arrest. No injuries were reported.
The program is supported by Stafford County Fire & Rescue and volunteer stations, with each $25 donation to Operation Warm funding one brand-new coat. Over the years, the community has provided nearly 25,000 coats and raised more than $400,000 for Stafford students.
“Partnerships like this help us ensure that every child has what they need to thrive,” said Superintendent Dr. Daniel W. Smith. “By providing warm coats, we show our students that they are valued, cared for, and supported.” Fire Chief Joseph A. Cardello added that the program ensures children are “safe, warm, and ready to learn.”
Ingram was surprised with the honor during a recent celebration at Osbourn, attended by school administrators, Superintendent Dr. Kevin Newman, members of the School Board, and her family. Principal Dr. Jennifer Chapman praised Ingram as one of the school’s most dedicated and future-focused students.
The National Merit Scholarship Program is a prestigious academic competition that began in 1955. Students enter the program by taking the PSAT/NMSQT as juniors; over 1.3 million students from 20,000 U.S. high schools competed this year. Only about 16,000 earn Semifinalist status.
Elizabeth Rehm is returning to the Fredericksburg City Public Schools board after being unanimously appointed to fill the Ward 3 seat vacated by Jennifer Boyd. The appointment was made during the board’s meeting on October 6, and Rehm will serve through the end of 2025.
Rehm brings more than nine years of experience, having previously served on the board from 2012 to 2021. Her return offers stability and familiarity during a time of continued growth for the school division, officials said.
Candidates for the Gainesville seat on the Prince William Board of County Supervisors will face off in a public forum on Friday, October 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Gainesville High School.
Republican Patrick Harders and Democrat George Stewart will take questions at the event, hosted by the Prince William Committee of 100 and the League of Women Voters of Prince William-Fauquier Area. Bruce Potter, publisher of InsideNoVa, will moderate. The forum comes amid growing voter interest in issues such as the Bi-County Parkway, data center development, and a controversial proposal to eliminate the 10-acre minimum lot size in parts of western Prince William.
Northern Virginia’s largest food and drink festival, Taste of NoVA, will now take place at NOVA LIVE’s 21-acre campus in Prince William County after a last-minute venue change caused by the federal government shutdown.
Originally scheduled at the National Museum of the U.S. Army in Fort Belvoir, the two-day event had to relocate quickly. With help from county officials, the new venue was secured and permitted within days. The festival is set for October 11 and 12 and will feature food and drink from over 120 regional chefs, mixologists, wineries, breweries, and distilleries.

In other incidents, a male suspect stole over $200 worth of cigarettes from a 7-Eleven on Town Center Boulevard. At Walmart on Garrisonville Road, two separate incidents of skip scanning were reported, resulting in summonses for shoplifting. Another Walmart location reported a female suspect stealing a generator and fleeing in a gray SUV.
At the Clarion Inn on Warrenton Road, cash went missing during an interaction with a male known as “PJ,” who also disappeared. Additionally, a male was charged with public intoxication on Hope Road after being found stumbling with a nearly empty vodka bottle. He was wanted on outstanding warrants and is now held at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
