Hung Cao is the Republican nominee for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District.

He’ll face Jennifer Wexton (D) in the November 8 General Election, who’s held the seat since 2018. Cao won his nomination during a Firehouse Primary on May 21, 2022. He faced 10 other candidates.

Fredericksburg officials celebrated the opening of Riverfront Park and the launch of Fredericksburg Main Street’s Otter-ly Amazing Fredericksburg Project on Saturday, May 21, 2022.

The park at 713 Sophia Street (encompassing the 500-700 blocks), across from the city’s parking garage, is a nearly four-acre property and the city’s first “smart park.” As its name suggests, it features Rappahannock River views and includes open space, event space, an interactive water feature, a meadow area, and a children’s play area. Parking is available and is free for the first three hours.

After losing five straight games, all by two runs or less, history looked like it may repeat itself on Saturday night in [Salisbury, Md.] when the FredNats were up two runs in the 9th, and the Shorebirds were threatening again.

With the FredNats up 5-3 and the bases loaded after three singles in the inning, with one out, Trendon Craig grounded a single right back up the middle to center field. One run scored, and Luis Valdez was barreling towards home plate to try and tie the game.

Lateefah Pruden Inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi

Lateefah Pruden of Manassas Park, Virginia, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Pruden was initiated at George Mason University. Pruden is among 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff, and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year.

The event showcased fine and performing arts student talent from across Stafford County schools from Pre-K to 12th grade.
