A 38-year-old man from Quantico survived a severe car accident after police said he drove drunk and crashed into a tree on Joshua Road late Saturday night. The driver, who admitted to consuming approximately four beers, was charged with driving under the influence and refusal and was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

Da’John Lancaster, a wanted man, was taken into custody after a manhunt in North Stafford and charged with multiple offenses, including attempted aggravated murder and malicious wounding. Lancaster, already wanted for felony intimidation and a weapons offense, was apprehended on May 30 following a high-risk traffic stop.

On May 27, Deputy R.J. Kemp responded to a disturbance on Munsons Hill Court, where an intoxicated woman mistakenly entered a stranger’s home with her child. The woman, who believed she was on Lakeview Court, was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication, child neglect, unlawful entry, and obstruction of justice. A sober guardian was called to take care of the child.

A Spotsylvania County man was arrested after breaking into Crumbl Cookies in Stafford County on May 24. Damonte Fauntroy, 25, who had previously worked at the business, was charged with multiple counts of breaking and entering, larceny, and possession of a controlled substance after being caught on security cameras and surrendering to deputies.

On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Stafford County deputies assisted Maryland homicide detectives in taking 22-year-old Raheem Adams into custody. Adams was wanted for first and second-degree murder in Prince George’s County, Maryland. He is being held without bond.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit identified and charged Adams in connection with a fatal shooting at a car meet early Sunday morning, May 29, 2024. The victim was 26-year-old John Phipps of Waldorf. Community information was given to investigators, and Prince George’s County crime solvers played a role in the investigation.


Governor Glenn Youngkin joined law enforcement officials from across the region today for a ceremonial signing of three bills to strengthen protection for children. The event took place at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2023, at the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
