Updated 10:55 a.m. — A woman is hospitalized after she was reduced from a burning home in Dumfries.

Fire and rescue crews responded to a 2-alarm townhouse blaze in the Williamstown neighborhood at about 7:30 a.m. The woman was pulled from the home’s second floor and flown to an area hospital.

A Dumfries woman walking in the area of Prince William Parkway and Crooked Knoll Lane, about five miles south of Manassas, was struck and killed Friday, November 25, 2022.

The woman died at a hospital from her injuries. A van struck the woman at about 6 p.m. The driver remained on the scene of the crash.

A woman, who is said to be middle-aged, crashed her SUV into a jersey wall while traveling south on Interstate 95 near the Occoquan River. Multiple 911 callers reported the crash at about 4 p.m.

Prince William and Fairfax county rescue crews responded to the call and worked to pull the woman from the wreckage. The woman lost consciousness.

It’s the second fire at the North Stafford fast-food restaurant in as many years.

Just after 8 a.m. on Friday, November 25, Stafford County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to a reported structure at the Burger King located in the 200 block of Garrisonville Road.

Just after 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 24, Stafford County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to a reported structure in the 900 block of Belle Plains Road.

First arriving units marked on scene approximately 10 minutes later and found flames from the roof of a large, two-story single-family home. Crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control in approximately 10 minutes. Extensive overhaul operations were required on the roof, and rural water operations were utilized to bring water to the scene.

Black male Last seen wearing a black hat, red shirt, camouflage hooded sweatshirt underneath a blue jacket, grey or olive-green pants. The suspect was wearing white covers over all 10 fingers.

Prince William police today report two instances of assault and battery on law enforcement officers.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] | Falsely Summoning Law Enforcement – On November 17 at 3:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Birchdale Ave. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate the report of a domestic-in-progress. Upon arriving at the residence, officers made contact with a 40-year- old male resident and determined there was no active domestic between the caller, identified as the accused, and the resident. While investigating the incident, officers determined a separate incident occurred earlier in the day where the accused struck the male resident. When officers attempted to take her into custody, the accused actively resisted and refused to follow officer’s commands. Officers quickly secured the accused and as they were escorting her to the police vehicle she kneed an officer. The accused was resecured, and no injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Pamela Lynn GOSS, was arrested.

Detectives have charged 24-year-old Desmond Malcolm Daniel, 24, of 2900 Shumard Oak Drive, #201, in Woodbridge, in connection to a double murder that occurred at a residence in the 17400 block of Isle Royale Terrace near Dumfries on Wednesday, November 16.

The suspect was subsequently located by Virginia State Police and Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority police in a parking lot at Dulles International Airport, where he was detained without incident.
