Since Dec. 3, 2022, the Prince William County Police Department has responded to three overdoses, one in which was fatal, involving juveniles possibly consuming counterfeit Percocet pills containing the lethal narcotic Fentanyl.
The first incident occurred on December 3 when officers responded to a home in the Manassas area of Prince William County for an unresponsive 17-year-old boy. The family began CPR and administered Narcan as medical services was being contacted; however, the juvenile died.
Virginia State Police are seeking the public’s help locating a vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian in a work zone on Interstate 66 in Fairfax County on Thursday morning, December 8, 2022.
As the worker was running towards the crash, a third vehicle came through the work zone at a high rate of speed and struck the worker. The vehicle – a maroon passenger vehicle – then fled the scene.
Prince William County detectives with the Violent Crimes Bureau are continuing their efforts to identify and locate the suspect or suspects involved in the fatal shooting of a 44-year-old man that occurred in the area of Morgan Court and Old Triangle Road in Dumfries on November 12 shortly after 5:30 a.m.
Police found the victim, Demetrious Levar Graham, 44, of Woodbridge, in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, after police responded to the area for multiple reports of shots being fired. Video surveillance captured the armed male suspect wearing no shirt with his face covered walking along the sidewalk. The suspect is then seen firing multiple rounds towards the man’s vehicle as it drove by.
A woman suffered life-threatening burns at a home in Bristow on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.
At 10:31 p.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to the 10000 block of Twin Leaf Drive for a reported house fire with injuries. Crews arrived to find one adult male and one adult female with burn injuries.
Hit-and-Run (City Property Damage)
On December 4, 2022 at 1:15 a.m., Manassas City Police responded to a collision near the intersection of Tudor Oaks Dr. and Signal Hill Rd., in the City of Manassas. Upon police arrival it was discovered that a vehicle struck a light pole and then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The suspect was described by a witness as a heavyset Hispanic Male wearing a white shirt and driving a silver compact sedan with front end damage and a flat tire. A Spotsylvania man is being held without bond after an assault in North Stafford last week.
On November 30, at 6:38 p.m. deputies received a call from someone on Town Square Circle claiming they were attacked and they were dying.
At 4:31 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, Prince William County Fire and Rescue crewsunits were dispatched to the 1700 block of Varsity Drive in the Marumsco Village neighborhood in Woodbridge for a report of a fire in a single-family house.
Crews were able to quickly extinguish a fire located in the home’s basement. No injuries were reported. The structure sustained moderate damage. Two adults were displaced. The Fire Marshal’s office determined a candle was the ignition source of the fire.
One person was shot at a home near Manassas.
Police report the shooting occurred Tuesday, December 6, 2022, on Hiram Court in the Coverstone neighoborhood near Manassas, about 7 p.m.
Fatal Crash Investigation *DECEASED IDENTIFIED – Today (Tuesday, December 6) investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit notified a next-of-kin of the 36-year-old man who was struck and killed while walking in the roadway along Richmond Hwy in Quantico (22134) on December 5.
The driver of the second vehicle that is believed to have struck the victim as he laid in the roadway remains unidentified. Investigators continue to ask anyone who may have witnessed this crash to contact police and are urging the driver of the second vehicle to come forward. The investigation continues.
