The investigation revealed the victim, a 32-year-old woman, and her 5-year-child were traveling in the above area when they were involved in a road rage incident with the driver of another vehicle, later identified as the accused.

During the encounter, the accused brandished a firearm at the victim’s vehicle before the parties separated. No shots were fired. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Edwin Dale SIMS, was arrested.

Stafford County Sheriff’s Office: Two firearms were seized from a 19-year-old after an observant citizen noticed him fumbling a firearm in an intoxicated state.

On May 12th at 4:34 a.m. Sergeant J.D. Hurt and Deputy J.R. Suarez responded to Wawa, located at 275 Butler Road, for an intoxicated person. The caller advised the male, who was stumbling around, dropped his firearm on the floor while inside the business. They further advised the suspect attempted to buy tobacco without an ID. When staff refused to sell him the product, he asked to buy controlled substances from them.

A Prince William County judge revoked the $5,000 bond for a Virginia man who is accused of killing his girlfriend and her young child in a car crash.

Two people inside a box truck tried to force their way onto Quantico Marine Corps Base.

After being pressed by Potomac Local News, base officials today said that in the early morning hours of Friday, May 3, 2024, the two men drove a truck up to the base’s main gate on Fuller Road, just outside Dumfries, told guards that they were contractors for Amazon and were making a delivery to Quantico Town’s post office. The town is located inside the military base.

Authorities at Patriot High School in Brentsville were alerted to the presence of a weapon on school premises following a tip received through the See Something Say Something App.

The School Resource Officer (SRO) was notified on May 7 at 10:24 a.m., indicating that a student had been in possession of a weapon the previous evening during an after-school function. The investigation revealed that the student was seen with metal knuckles, police said.

Mason William Tredinnick, 18, was charged with malicious wounding following an altercation at a local church. The incident occurred on the evening of May 2 at the Chapel Springs Assembly of God Church in Bristow.

According to police reports, officers were called to the scene at 11:44 p.m. after receiving reports of an assault. The investigation revealed that the confrontation began as a verbal altercation during a sports activity, which quickly escalated. Mason Tredinnick, identified as the accused, grabbed the 17-year-old victim scratched his neck, and initially separated. However, the dispute continued, resulting in Tredinnick re-engaging and striking the victim multiple times in the face, police reports state. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed due to his age, received treatment at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
