A Stafford man was arrested after firing a handgun from a hotel balcony.

On Saturday, June 4, at 11:43 a.m., Sergeant A.I. Assur and Deputy T.M. Givler responded to a Super 8 motel at 25 Wicomico Drive in North Stafford with a disturbance report. Staff said a guest had reported hearing gunshots at about 2 a.m.

A wanted man from Stafford was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a rollover crash.

On Friday, June 3, at 9:54 p.m. First Sergeant B.W. Collins and Deputy L.T. Ward went to the scene of a crash in the 900 block of Poplar Road, near Steffaniga Road. They found a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country overturned on the road.

On June 3, detectives with the Special Victims Bureau, in coordination with Child Protective Services, concluded an investigation into a sexual assault reported at Youth for Tomorrow, located at 11835 Hazel Circle Drive in Bristow, between January 1 and March 11.

The investigation began on March 15 when a resident reported to staff members that another resident, identified as a 16-year-old female juvenile, and a male employee, identified as the accused, was involved in an inappropriate relationship.

On June 2 at 9:30 a.m, officers responded to an Exxon station at 4255 Seeton Square, near a Safeway grocery store, to investigate a robbery.

Video surveillance showed an unknown masked man entering the store and approaching the counter while brandishing a firearm. The suspect confronted the employee during the encounter and demanded money from the cash registers before fleeing on foot. At no time were shots fired during the incident.

On Wednesday, June 1 at 10:38 a.m., officers went to the 12500 block of Colebrook Court in Lake Ridge after a 3-year-old child was found playing on a street.

A resident reported to police that when they saw a 3-year-old boy, and they brought the boy to the sidewalk where. The child pointed at a nearby house. The Good Samaritan went to the door and there was no answer at the home. He then called the police.

An employee told police that he and the driver of a car in the drive-through lane were engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated. The driver brandished a firearm at the employee during the encounter before driving through the lane, police said.

At no time were shots fired during the incident. When officers arrived in the area, they located the accused inside his vehicle and took him into custody without incident.

On Sunday, May 29, at 2:17 a.m., officers went to the 13400 block of Hillendale Drive in Dale City to investigate a shooting. Police learned a 43-year-old man was brought to a fire station near the above location after being shot.

The man initially reported to police that he was walking in the wooded area near the above location when he heard a loud noise before being shot in the leg. The man contacted an acquaintance who transported him to a nearby fire station, where police were contacted.
