A suspected intoxicated driver faces multiple charges after a multi-car crash on Route 3.
On August 28th at 5:45 p.m., a Stafford County sheriff’s deputy went to a crash on Route 3 near Ferry Road, in the Ferry Farm section of Stafford County. The investigation revealed the driver of a green Ford Fusion passed through the red traffic signal at Blue and Gray Parkway at a high rate of speed and struck a red GMC Sierra, police said.

Shooting Investigation – On August 28 at 4:10PM, officers responded to investigate a shooting that reportedly occurred in the 13900 block of Richmond Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that day. Officers were initially called to an area hospital where a 46-year-old man was being treated at the facility for non-life threatening gunshot wound. While investigating, officers were informed a second gunshot wound victim, a 22-year-old man, who was also being treated for non-life threatening injuries at an area hospital. The investigation revealed a group of individuals, including the victims, were in the above area when multiple rounds were fired from a vehicle towards the group, striking both victims. The light-colored sedan immediately fled the area. No additional injuries or property damage were reported. While checking the area, officers located shell casings in the roadway.
A Stafford County man is charged in the death of a Dumfries man killed in a crash on Route 234.
Jesse Rean Bacha, 35, of 752 Widewater Road, is charged with reckless driving, Prince William police said. He has a pending court date and was released on a summons.
The man shot and killed outside Manassas is Dalton Jakob Moore, 25, of no fixed address.
Somone shot Moore at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, August 19, in the area of Sudley Manor Drive and Williamson Boulevard. Moore and two others were sitting on a sidewalk in front of a 7-Eleven store when a man walked up to them from behind the building.
On Wednesday, August 24, at 11:59 a.m., deputies responded to 518 Shelton Shop Road for reports of a three-vehicle crash.
The investigation revealed a Chevy Malibu traveling north swerved across a double yellow line and sideswiped a Ford truck. The Chevy then struck a southbound Infinity SUV head-on.
Prince William County fire crews went to a home in the 13000 block of Langstone Drive in Dale City for a reported house fire at 1:07 a.m. Crews arrived with heavy fire and smoke emitting from the rear of the home, said fire department Assistant Chief Matt Smolksy.
One of the home’s occupants found the fire and alerted the others. All made it out, and no one was injured. The house sustained extensive damage.
The sheriff’s office protects the county courthouse in Manassas and serves court orders. The police department, commonly seen in Carolina-blue colored vehicles, responds to 911 calls — everything from car crashes and shootings to helping stranded drivers with flat tires.

Aliyah Henderson, 19, of Stafford, was shot and killed today by a Chesterfield County man, said authorities.
At 1:49 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting on Crescent Valley Drive in the Kendallwood East subdivision, five miles from Downtown Fredericksburg.
The business owner reported cash and three sets of car keys were stolen.
Video surveillance showed the suspect throwing a car battery through the window and entering the business. Detective A. Sanchez, Jr. joined Deputy O’Neill, and they canvassed the area. The duo did not have to go far, as the suspect was located at El Patio Motel, just a few doors down the street.
