Occoquan Mayor Earnie Porta: “On Saturday, June 3, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., there will be a live auction during Occoquan’s RiverFest and Craft Show. The owner of the Mill at Occoquan project has agreed to allow us to auction off a variety of old Occoquan items that remain on the property, with all the proceeds going to the 501(c)(3) Occoquan Historical Society.”
“To access the auction, patrons will need to travel on the sidewalk behind the vendor tents just to the west of Ellicott Street on the river side of Mill Street (modest signage will be near the entrance) and enter through the property’s gate.”

I served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps for 22 years, retiring in 1997 as a Lieutenant Colonel and making Prince William County my home. I am offended by the blatant appeal of Kenneth Knarr through photos of himself in uniform in campaign advertisements.
If that wasn’t bad enough, he’s using these tactics on many of his materials without the required disclaimer by the Department of Defense. This is both disgraceful and immoral campaigning.
In the same press release, the transit agency said buses that service four routes that serve Tysons Corner, Mark Center in Alexandria, the Pentagon, and L’Enfant Plaza in Washington, D.C., will remain dormant.
Meanwhile, a $1.6 million micro-transit service for the Dumfries and Quanitco areas will also begin Monday, June 5, 2023.
Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center Facebook page: “Sentara Cares presented a check for $30,000 to Youth For Tomorrow, a non-profit neighbor of Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, on May 17, 2023.”
“Youth For Tomorrow provides a range of services to support at-risk youth and families – they work to guide them to a better future. Originally envisioned by noted football coach Joe Gibbs in 1983, Youth For Tomorrow opened its doors in 1986 and has been changing lives ever since.”
Prince William Times: “A Manassas business owner and a Bealeton man pleaded guilty Friday to conspiring to defraud banks and the federal Small Business Administration of more than $7 million in COVID-19 relief funds – money that was used to invest in cryptocurrency, buy vehicles, make mortgage payments, fund home renovations, pay private high school and college tuition bills and buy items on Amazon, according to court documents.”
“Between April 2020 and March 2021, Bennie Earl Magee, 54, of Manassas, falsified payroll records, created fake IRS business tax returns and submitted falsified revenue reports for multiple companies to lenders and the SBA to obtain more than $7 million in Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loans for himself and his friend and co-defendant Michael Gilcher, 45, of Bealeton, according to court documents.”
“In game one, which was a resumption from an April game that was suspended due to rain, the two clubs took the field in the bottom of the second inning with Delmarva ahead 2-1. Brad Lord held the score there, until the top of the fifth inning. Carter Young and Angel Tejada both singled, then Samuel Basallo got plunked to load the bases. Lord struck out a pair of batters to get two outs, but Erison Placencia singled into right field to plate Young and push Delmarva ahead 3-1.”
“But in the home half, Fredericksburg bounced back. Paul Witt drew a lead-off walk, before Cortland Lawson plated Witt with a triple. Daylen Lile then came through with a sacrifice fly to tie the game at 3-3.”
