Black Metal Mercantile holds ribbon cutting in Downtown Manassas

Black Metal Mercantile held its ribbon-cutting ceremony in Downtown Manassas on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

Several friends, neighbors, and officials from the Manassas City Council and Prince William Chamber of Commerce attended the event that began at 4 p.m.

The store opened in April at the 1,300-square-foot retail space at 9082 Center Street.

Black Metal Mercantile is a vintage general store with a modern twist selling everything from food and drinks to toys, “dude gifts,” and home décor.

It is owned by Deron Blevins, who has long worked with Pete Evick of the neighboring candle shop, Shining Sol.

Blevins had long been interested in bringing the general store concept to Downtown Manassas, the city’s economic development staff reported earlier this year.
