A total of 831 electricity customers were out in the neighboring Manassas city. Crews have been on site since 3:30 a.m. this morning, trying to reroute power. As of 7:30, all power was restored,  a city spokeswoman tells us.

The outage comes as Prince William police investigate a single-vehicle crash that struck a pole along Old Centreville Rd in front of Yorkshire ES. The driver fled—prolonged traffic impacts expected due to needed repairs. Drivers are urged to expect delays and to follow police directions.

Sultan Abdu Menfot is a 44-year-old Black male, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. Menfot has brown eyes and black hair.

He was last seen on February 17, 2024, at 17:17 hours in the 6800 block of Frontier Drive, Springfield. At the time of his disappearance, Menfot was wearing an olive green jacket, khaki pants, and a black and white striped shirt. Authorities believe he is on foot and not operating a motor vehicle.

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are set to replace nine drainage pipes located underneath Route 616 (Poplar Road) in Stafford County throughout March. The initiative aims to ensure the installation of new pipes before the road undergoes repaving between Branch Creek Way and Tacketts Mill Road later this year.

Poplar Road will experience closures to through traffic overnight from Sunday to Thursday evenings between March 3 and the morning of March 15. Closure hours will be from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. during scheduled work days. Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists along the recommended alternate route.

Stafford County Administrator Randall Vosburg has signaled his intent to resign. Vosburg is the top government official in the county, overseeing the operation of county government services.

Vosburg held the job for 20 months. He did not provide a reason for his departure.
