FALMOUTH, Va. – Stafford County is stepping up safety at one of its busiest riverfront spots.
Starting today and continuing through the summer, swift water rescue teams will be stationed at the Historic Port of Falmouth—commonly known as Falmouth Beach—on weekends to assist with emergencies. According to Stafford Fire and Rescue, water-related incidents and drownings are frequent along this part of the Rappahannock River.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The City Council is in the final stages of selecting members for a special committee that will plan Fredericksburg’s 300th anniversary in 2028.
During a May 27 work session, council members reviewed a list of 25 candidates to serve on the “Fredericksburg 300 Committee.” The goal is to reduce that list to about 10 people who will lead efforts to celebrate the city’s tricentennial.

The Bee City Pollinator Mural Dedication will take place at Kerbobble Toys, located at 9216 Center Street in Old Town Manassas. In a Facebook post, the store invited the community to join the event and praised Patricia and Cassidy of Kerbobble for their creative work bringing the mural to life.
