The victim, a 22-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, 59-year-old Jennifer Cox, of Middletown, is charged with Reckless Driving, according to police.
Later that evening, police said a drunken driver rear-ended three vehicles at a stoplight. At 10:30 p.m., police went to a crash involving four cars at Wellington Road and Godwin Drive.

The crash occurred at about 4:50 p.m. at Hoadly Road and Galveston Court, near a Harris Teeter grocery store. One of the victims was taken to Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, and the other UVA Prince William Medical Center in Manassas.
According to initial reports, the victims suffered serious injuries. What led to the crash is unknown.
A portion of Woodbridge sounded like a firing range this afternoon.
Just after 4 p.m., shots rang out at the Woodbridge Station Apartments near Fred M. Lynn Middle School. The shooting prompted a massive police response in the area and a lockdown of the middle school for about 30 minutes.

Robert E. Love will serve the remainder of a vacated term on the Occoquan Town Council.
Love was sworn into the office at a Town Council meeting on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Love will finish the remainder of the term of Krystyna Michelle Bienia, ending December 31. Bienia resigned from the town council because she was moving out of the town limits, which means she could no longer serve as a policymaker for the small town on the Occoquan River, according to town council meeting minutes.
A Stafford woman was killed in a crash in Alexandria.
Virginia State Police reported today, at 1:43 a.m. on Sunday, May 1, troopers went to a crash on northbound Interstate 395 just south of King Street in Alexandria.
Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va., 7) will speak before the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce members.
In November, the incumbent Democrat up for reelection will speak at a chamber-sponsored event at Stevenson Ridge bed and breakfast, Meeting Street, Spotsylvania, from 10:30 a.m. until noon, Tuesday, May 10.
