Rappahannock Women’s Health Center: “To our valued patients, It is with a heavy heart we have to announce the closing of RWHC. Please bear with us over the next few days as we will put out more information on how to obtain your records. This was not an easy decision, and we understand for some, this will be difficult. We will do everything we can to make this a smooth transition for all. We will be open through mid-August.”

The firm did not provide a reason for the closure. It provided OB-GYN care for women at two locations, 1071 Care Way, Suite 101, in Fredericksburg, and 9701 Hospital Blvd, Suite 101, in Spotsylvania.

Stafford County Sheriff’s Office: “Two 19-year-old’s, one of which was wanted, were arrested yesterday after being found with beer and narcotics.”

“On June 27th at approximately 8:36 p.m. Sergeant B.U. Demirci was on a traffic stop at the Exxon, located at 375 Warrenton Road. Deputy L.T. Ward and Deputy S.A. Fulford responded to assist after it was discovered the male driver was wanted out of Prince William County for possession of controlled substances. If that wasn’t bad enough, Sergeant Demirci observed suspected controlled substances in plain view.”


Fredericksburg Nationals: “The Salem Red Sox recorded a 7-4 win in the series opener against the FredNats.”

“After a scoreless first inning, the Red Sox took advantage of some erratic pitching from Luke Young. He walked three of the first four batters in the top of the second, but picked up a strikeout for the second out. Young worked to a 1-1 count against Juan Chacon, who laced a bases-clearing double into the left-center field alley to put Salem ahead 3-0.”

Hillary Clinton posted to Twitter today, urging Democrats to organize and flip three seats in the House of Delegates.

The former First Lady reminded her followers that Democrats only need three seats to regain control of Virginia’s House of Delegates.
