VPAP: Republican Lee Peters is projected to have beaten his Primary Election challenger Micheal Kasey by 60 points in his bid for the 65th District House of Delegates seat.

Peters will face former Delegate Joshua Cole, a Democrat who lost to Republican Tara Durant in 2021.

Woolf beats Republican primary challenger in Senate District 30

VPAP: Republican Bill Woolf beat his Primary Election challenger Robert Ruffolo by 40 points in Virginia Senate District 30, encompassing western Prince William County.

The district has no incumbent. He’ll face Democrat Danica Roem in the November General Election. VPAP lists the district as competitive, not leaning to one party.

VPAP: Republican Delegate Tara Durant is projected to beat Matt Strickland in the Republican Primary Election for Virginia’s 27th District Senate Seat. Durant was elected to the House of Delegates in 2021 and outraised her opponent three to one.

Gov. Glenn Youngkin endorsed Durant.

Virginia AG prosecutes Tiger King star ‘Doc Antle’

“A Frederick County jury convicted Bhagavan Antle of two felony counts of wildlife trafficking and two felony counts of conspiring to wildlife traffic. Antle’s sentencing is scheduled for September 14, 2023.”

“The Office of the Attorney General’s Animal Law Unit led the investigation, which began in 2019, and prosecuted the case to secure today’s convictions after a week-long trial.”

R. Wendell Presgrave, the founder of MyPlumber Plus, was honored with a funeral procession from the company’s headquarters at 6897 Gateway Court, off Balls Ford near Manassas, to a memorial service in Haymarket, on Friday, June 16, 2023.

Presgrave, 83, died on May 23, 2023.

Cold case solved: Florida man awaiting extradition in 1987 Woodbridge rape case

“The investigation revealed a store clerk, identified as a then-50-year-old woman, was working at the location when she went to use the restroom. An unknown man followed the victim into the restroom where she was bound and sexually assaulted at knifepoint.”

“After the incident, the suspect fled the business and was not immediately located. The case eventually was transferred to Cold Case where, in 2021, the investigation was reviewed, and new investigative leads were followed through advancements in DNA/genealogical testing and research.”

New situations and people can be terrifying to me, so I may take some time before she’s comfortable meeting you.”

“Meet Lola (ID 36888/25) A 5-year-old lady is a social butterfly who loves to meet new people. For her, a perfect day would include running around, playing in the yard, and then taking a nice cozy nap beside you. Her previous owner said that she is not a great fit for families with small children due to her energy level. Lola also has chronic kidney disease and is on a veterinary prescription diet to help support her kidney health.”
