Prince William police: “The Crime Prevention Unit of the Prince William County Police Department hosts a Neighborhood Watch training on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, at 6 p.m. Participants will learn how to work with the Police Department to keep their neighborhoods safer.”

Insidenova.com: “Del. Dan Helmer of Fairfax County announced Wednesday morning that he is joining the race for the Democratic nomination in Virginia’s 10th Congressional District next year.”

“Helmer, a U.S. Army veteran who was first elected in 2019, led the House Democratic Caucus’ campaign effort this fall, which resulted in Democrats picking up three seats and regaining control of the chamber.”

Update: Big Stone Gap man dies in Triangle shooting

Prince William police: “On November 14 at 8:41PM, officers responded to the 3700 block of Wharf Ln. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed gunshots were heard in the area which struck a 26-year-old man who was found lying on the ground by responding officers.”

“Officers provided immediate first aid to the man who was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries. While checking the area, officers located shell casings in the roadway on Wharf Ln and a residence in the Linden Park Apartment complex that was struck by gunfire.

I-95 E-ZPass lanes operator to study bi-directional operation

5 years of work coming to end Thursday: I-95 expands to 12 lanes over Rappahannock

VDOT: “The Virginia Department of Transportation will shift Interstate 95 northbound traffic at the Rappahannock River into its final alignment this week, doubling northbound capacity in the Fredericksburg area.”

“After five years of construction in the Fredericksburg area to improve I-95, with a combined investment of $264 million to build the I-95 Northbound and Southbound Rappahannock River Crossings, there will be 12 interstate lanes spanning the river ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.”
