“BEVs [battery electric vehicles] are stacking up on our lots,” the auto dealers stated in the letter. “Last year, there was a lot of hope and hype about EVs. Early adopters formed an initial line and were ready to buy these vehicles as soon as we had them to sell. But that enthusiasm has stalled. Today, the supply of unsold BEVs is surging, as they are not selling nearly as fast as they are arriving at our dealerships – even with deep price cuts, manufacturer incentives, and generous government incentives.”
On November 8, 2023, an emergency department doctor at Sentara Lake Ridge diagnosed a patient as having a heart attack. The doctor requested an ambulance to transfer the patient to Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center’s cardio catheterization lab.
Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department’s (OWL VFD) Ambulance 502 and Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue’s (DFR) Medic 520 were dispatched to the scene.
The Stafford Hospital Auxiliary will host the annual Stafford Hospital tree lighting in the atrium on Tuesday, December 5, at noon.
The Auxiliary will have five raffle prizes to give away. Purchase a raffle ticket from the Stafford Hospital gift shop between now and December 5. The Brooke Point High School Choir will perform at 12:00 noon followed by the raffle drawing and the tree lighting around 12:30 p.m.

Virginia State Police: “At 11:34 a.m., Virginia State Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling east on I-66 near Exit 43. The vehicle refused to stop for the trooper and, instead, sped away. A pursuit was initiated. The suspect vehicle lost control and spun out at Route 29 and Linton Hall Rd. The suspect vehicle came to a stop and the 25-year-old male driver was taken into custody. The driver was not injured.”

OmniRide’s Service Change will take effect on Monday, December 11. The organization will add three new routes from Fredericksburg to North Stafford using the I-95 E-ZPass Express Lanes extension.
OmniRide will add Stafford to the State Department and Spotsylvania and Falmouth routes to the Pentagon and destinations in D.C.
Prince William County Public Schools: “After eight months of negotiations as part of the collective bargaining process with the Prince William Education Association (PWEA), a three-year collective bargaining agreement on benefits and terms and conditions of employment was tentatively agreed upon by the School Board’s and PWEA’s bargaining teams. PWCS is hopeful that this agreement will be ratified by the employees in each bargaining unit.”
“The division proposed a contract including a nearly $70 million salary and benefit package of approximately $64 million in increased salary and more than $5 million increase in other wages and benefits. PWEA negotiators did not reach an agreement on the wage proposal before the December 1 deadline.”
Updated 3 p.m. — Manassas police closed a portion of Center Street at Main Street in Downtown Manassas for a crash.
