Jurassic Quest is set to roar into the F Fredericksburg Expo Center from May 10 to May 12. The three-day extravaganza promises a journey through 165 million years of Earth’s history, featuring lifelike dinosaurs and a range of hands-on activities for all ages.

Attractions include a scientifically accurate dinosaur herd, live dinosaur shows, interactive science and art activities, a real fossil exhibit, bounce houses, and inflatable attractions. New for 2024 are interactive experiences like “Raptor Run” races and “Rope-a-Raptor.” Guests can also enjoy the Raptor Training Experience and meet interactive baby dinosaurs such as Cammie the Camarasaurus, Tyson the T-Rex, and Trixie the Triceratops.

New poll shows tight presidential race in Virginia

In a recent political survey conducted by John Zogby Strategies, the competition between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump appears to be heating up in Virginia, with Trump holding a narrow lead.

The poll, conducted from April 13 to April 21, 2024, involved 23,683 likely voters across the U.S., 586 of whom were from Virginia.

Prince William County School Board member’s son charged with malicious wounding

Mason William Tredinnick, 18, was charged with malicious wounding following an altercation at a local church. The incident occurred on the evening of May 2 at the Chapel Springs Assembly of God Church in Bristow.

According to police reports, officers were called to the scene at 11:44 p.m. after receiving reports of an assault. The investigation revealed that the confrontation began as a verbal altercation during a sports activity, which quickly escalated. Mason Tredinnick, identified as the accused, grabbed the 17-year-old victim scratched his neck, and initially separated. However, the dispute continued, resulting in Tredinnick re-engaging and striking the victim multiple times in the face, police reports state. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed due to his age, received treatment at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The open house will highlight resources related to health, housing, workforce and job training, youth services, food security, recreation, education, the environment, and legal support. These resources represent the combined efforts of county government agencies, nonprofit and faith-based organizations, community-based organizations, and charitable organizations.

In addition to learning about local services, attendees will have the chance to explore ways to get involved in community improvement efforts, including participation in the Community Safety Advisory Committee. This committee plays a vital role in shaping community safety initiatives by engaging with residents and gathering their insights on safety and well-being.

The Stafford County Board of Supervisors faces a looming decision on the Clift Farm proposal by Jarrell Properties, Inc., which seeks to rezone 57 acres from Agricultural to Urban Residential – Medium Density. The development area, located on Clift Farm Road, just off Leland Road in the Falmouth District, plans for 141 age-restricted homes.
