OmniRide: “In observance of Independence Day, there will be no bus service on Tuesday, July 4. Buses will operate regular service on Monday, July 3, and regular service will resume on Wednesday, July 5. OmniRide Local passengers wishing to schedule an off-route trip for Wednesday, July 5 should call Customer Service before 4:30 pm, Saturday, July 1.”

Prince William County Government: “All Prince William County government offices, including courts, Prince William Public Libraries, the Prince William County Landfill, and the Balls Ford Road Composting Facility, will be closed Tuesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.”

“The public is advised to avoid contact with this specific area of the lake until algae concentrations return to acceptable levels. Some harmful algae, called cyanobacteria, can cause skin rash and gastrointestinal illnesses, such as upset stomach, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.”

Stafford nabs 2 wanted men from Prince William County

Stafford County Sheriff’s Office: “Two 19-year-old’s, one of which was wanted, were arrested yesterday after being found with beer and narcotics.”

“On June 27th at approximately 8:36 p.m. Sergeant B.U. Demirci was on a traffic stop at the Exxon, located at 375 Warrenton Road. Deputy L.T. Ward and Deputy S.A. Fulford responded to assist after it was discovered the male driver was wanted out of Prince William County for possession of controlled substances. If that wasn’t bad enough, Sergeant Demirci observed suspected controlled substances in plain view.”

Victim pepper-sprayed at home

Prince William Police Department:  Abduction *ARREST – “On June 26, the suspect sought in connection to the assault that was reported to have occurred at the Chick-Fil-A located at 10677 Sudley Manor Dr. in Manassas (20109) on June 8, was arrested. The accused, identified as Exequias CARBAJAL ORTIZ, turned himself in to police without incident.”

“Abduction [Previously Released] – “On June 8 at 3:10PM, officers responded to the Chick-Fil-A located at 10677 Sudley Manor Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed a 33-year-old female employee, and another employee, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.

VDOT lifts lane closures for Independence Day

Virginia Department of Transportation: “School’s out for summer, and it’s time to hit the road to favorite holiday destinations. To keep travelers focused on the Fourth of July fun-in-the-sun and fireworks instead of traffic, the Virginia Department of Transportation will be suspending most highway work zones and lifting most lane closures on interstates and other major roads in Virginia from noon on Monday, July 3, until noon on Wednesday, July 5.”
