Camille La Vie partnered with Brides Across America and will match brides with their dream wedding dresses at no cost. The event will begin on November 2, 2022, and continue through August 2023.

Shooting Investigation – On October 24 at 9:40PM, officers responded to the Potomac Inn located at 13964 Richmond Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. When officers arrived at the location, they observed several individuals leaving the scene. The investigation revealed shots were fired which struck several locations including two different unoccupied rooms of the hotel. A black two-door sedan with tinted windows was also seen fleeing the area. Officers located shell casings in the parking lot. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.

Shooting Investigation – On October 24 at 12:22AM, officers responded to investigate a shooting that reportedly occurred at the Tandoori Night Bar and Grill located at 14633 Richmond Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that evening. Officers were initially called to an area hospital where a 27-year-old man was being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Some Abigail Spanberger campaign signs were found defaced this morning in Woodbridge.
The Prince William County GOP condemned the action, calling it “wrong” and “illegal.” Spanberger is the Democrat incumbent in Virginia’s 7th congressional district and is challenged by Republican Yesli Vega.
The commuter railway operations board voted today to continue the free fares, an extension of the free fare program it provided riders last month on its Fredericksburg and Manassas lines.
The railroad will again charge the full fare for those who board at stations south of Springfield. In July, VRE decided it would let all riders take its trains free while Metro closes its Blue and Yellow lines south of Reagan National Airport for rehabilitation work.
The Prince William County Planning Commission approved a location for a new elementary school in Woodbridge. Construction crews will build the on about 10 acres on the north side of Prince William Parkway near the intersection of Route 1.
The school will have three stories to accommodate 631 students. The purpose is to relieve overcrowding at several elementary schools, such as Featherstone, Kilby, and Marumsco elementary schools.
Finally, Prince William County will get a Whole Foods Market after years of pining.
The Prince William Board of County Supervisors unanimously agreed to rezone 145 acres of land that SKW VA, Inc. and Southern Knolls, LLC will develop into the Quartz District. Whole Foods Market will anchor the mixed-use development, including more than 1,000 homes and nearly 375,000 square feet of office space.
Police in Newport News found a man wanted for failing to appear before a judge in Prince William County and who is now charged with escaping police custody in Woodbridge.
Police in Newport News nabbed the suspect on Sunday, October 16.
Two developers, SKW VA, Inc. and Southern Knolls, LLC, seek approval to rezone 145 acres at Prince William Parkway and Minnieville Road in Woodbridge. It plans to build 1,000 new homes, commercial retail and office space, a pavilion, and new parks and walking paths.
The land is zoned for agriculture and suburban homes and is mainly tree-lined.
