I-95 Northbound: Exit 133 (Falmouth/Warrenton) to Exit 136 (Centreport Parkway): Monday – Friday, 9 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. and Friday – Saturday, 10 p.m. – 7 a.m. Single lane closure for work zone barrier removal between mile markers 134-136. Part of the 95 Express Lanes Fredericksburg Extension project.

VDOT: “While snow might not be at the top of most people’s minds right now, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is at the height of preparation for the upcoming winter season. Equipment, materials and staffing are in place and ready to go the moment winter weather arrives.”

“Those traveling in and through the Commonwealth can be confident in VDOT’s preparedness as the seasons change,” said VDOT Chief of Maintenance and Operations Kevin Gregg. “With more than 57,000 lane miles of roadway to maintain across the Commonwealth, our focus remains on the safety of the traveling public, especially during inclement weather. Recent operational improvements mean our crews are trained, experienced and equipped to get the job done when snow arrives.”

Virginia Department of Transportation: “A federally-funded safety project was completed on time on Route 218 (White Oak Road/Caledon Road) between Route 604 (Belle Plains Road) in Stafford County and Route 206 (Dahlgren Road) in King George County.”

“The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and contractor crews replaced and installed approximately 100 signs and pavement safety messages over 21 miles of Route 218.”

I-95 Northbound: Exit 130 (Route 3) to Exit 133 (Route 17): Tuesday – Thursday, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Single lane closure in the northbound local lanes for paving at mile markers 130-131.

Stafford County: Route 610 (Garrisonville Road): Sunday – Tuesday, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. Mobile lane closures for pavement marking work between Mine Road and Joshua Road.

VDOT: “Route 3 traffic entering I-95 northbound in Fredericksburg has begun traveling in the northbound local lanes, which are now fully open between exit 130 (Route 3) and exit 133 (Falmouth/Warrenton) in Stafford.”

“Drivers entering northbound I-95 from Route 3 now travel across the original Rappahannock River bridge in the local lanes.”

VDOT: “To make Thanksgiving travel more enjoyable and, most importantly, safe, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will be suspending many highway work zones and lifting most lane closures on interstates and other major roads in Virginia from noon on Wednesday, Nov. 22 until noon on Monday, Nov. 27.”

VDOT: “The Virginia Department of Transportation will shift Interstate 95 northbound traffic at the Rappahannock River into its final alignment this week, doubling northbound capacity in the Fredericksburg area.”

“After five years of construction in the Fredericksburg area to improve I-95, with a combined investment of $264 million to build the I-95 Northbound and Southbound Rappahannock River Crossings, there will be 12 interstate lanes spanning the river ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.”

VDOT: “The Virginia Department of Transportation is warning travelers to expect major delays on Interstate 95 northbound in the Fredericksburg area with a work zone to reopen the original northbound Rappahannock River Bridge starting tomorrow, Nov. 14 through early Thursday, Nov. 16.”

“Starting at 8 p.m. tomorrow, the two-night operation will begin with lane and ramp closures to shift all I-95 northbound traffic into its final alignment between exit 130 (Route 3) in Fredericksburg and exit 133 (Route 17) in Stafford County.”

VDOT: “The Virginia Department of Transportation will reopen the original Interstate 95 northbound bridge over the Rappahannock River in mid-November, doubling capacity in the Fredericksburg area ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.”

“Starting early Thursday, Nov. 16, travelers will be able to use both I-95 northbound bridges over the Rappahannock River. At that time, traffic will be divided between local and through lanes, similar to I-95 southbound between exit 133 (Falmouth/Warrenton) in Stafford County and exit 130 (Route 3) in Fredericksburg.”
