Crews completed the work on Friday, May 13, 2022. Meadow Lane, between Garrisonville Road and Lark Lane, has reopened to traffic

Today, police report a woman from Triangle died in a crash in Springfield.

At 3:33 a.m. Monday, May 9, Virginia State Police went to a three-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 at the 169-mile post. A 2005 Nissan Altima was traveling south on I-95 when it attempted to change lanes to the right and struck a 2019 Nissan Sentra.

On Sunday, May 15, at 4:06 p.m., officers went to the Woodbridge Station Apartments in the 13600 block of Mary’s Way in Woodbridge after someone reported seeing a bullet hole in their ceiling.

A resident of an apartment reported to police that a bullet hole was discovered in his ceiling, appearing to have come from the above apartment. A bullet fragment was also found on the resident’s floor.

The American Life & Liberty (ALL PAC) will host a forum at Unity Braxton Middle School on Tuesday, May 17, from 5:30 to 8:45 p.m.

Eleven Republicans seeking the nomination for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District will attend the forum. Each will have time to introduce themselves and take voter questions submitted by audience members.

Kannapolis (N.C.) scored two in the 8th and two in the 9th to come back from a three-run deficit to knock off the FredNats 6-5 in the series finale in front of 4,744 fans at Virginia Credit Union Stadium. Fredericksburg led 5-2 after seven innings, but couldn’t close out the victory. The FredNats drop their first series of the season after Kannapolis took four out of the six games.

Both starters did well in the game, with Brendan Collins turning in a career-high 5.1 innings for Fredericksburg. He surrendered four hits and only two earned runs with six strikeouts, and exited the game with the lead.

On Liberia Avenue expansion, the dining room at Chick-fil-A at 9506 Liberia Avenue is temporarily closed. The drive-through remains open.

Initially opened in 2004, Chick-fil-A Signal Hill has become the city’s top meals taxpayer, making more sales than any other restaurant in Manassas, often handling upwards of 2,000 cars a day through their single-lane drive-through lane.

The REALTOR Association of Prince William is providing us with the latest snapshot of housing sales in the county

A total of 761 homes were sold in April 2022, a decrease of 8.9% compared to April 2021 at 835. New listings showed a decrease in percentage year-over-year, with 1042 new listings, as opposed to 1279 in April 2021.
