Today, members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force located and arrested the man sought in connection to the murder of 52-year-old Miles Tracey Hall of Triangle.
Hall was shot and killed in the 3600 block of Tavern Way in Triangle on May 15. The joint investigation with Dumfries Police Department revealed that the victim and the accused were known to one another and involved in an altercation.

OmniRide’s ridership has begun to rebound from the pandemic in recent months. Average commuter daily ridership for May 2022 is trending to where it’s more than 50 percent of the last full month prior to 2020 pandemic-related closures and reduced services.
OmniRide’s Express (commuter bus) daily ridership increased nine percent this April compared to March and has increased almost 30 percent since February. Daily average ridership for the first two weeks of May is nine percent higher than the last two weeks of April and 13 percent higher than all of April. According to OmniRide, the increase could be due to the Federal Government’s order for employees to return to the office – as OmniRide takes commuters to such government agencies as the Pentagon, State Department, and other government centers
A registered sex offender was arrested near a school bus stop in North Stafford after a resident called the police.
On Tuesday, May 24, at 3:12 p.m. Deputy R.A. Weatherholtz and Deputy W.M. Isenberg responded to a pavilion on Hidden Lake Drive in the western portion of the county for a report of a suspicious person.
The show will be held as a benefit for Empowerhouse, a nonprofit that supports survivors of domestic violence. The nonprofit operates in Fredericksburg and Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, and Caroline counties.

Stafford County
The Freedom Museum will conduct a bell-ringing ceremony across West Street from the museum, at 9129 Center Street in Manassas, to honor those who gave their lives in service to their country from 1917 to the present.
The event will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, May 30.
The majority of the listed streets are part of the city’s Asphalt Rehabilitation Program, which will rehabilitate issues that range from milling and resurfacing to complete reconstruction to installing proper drainage. The streets were chosen based on the high volume of daily traffic and are in worse condition compared to other streets that need work.
The city estimates the cost for the rehabilitation to be nearly $1.6 million.
A 9-year-old girl shot in Woodbridge on Tuesday, May 24, remains in critical condition.
Meanwhile, police arrested a 15-year-old in connection with her shooting. The teenager, who lives in Triangle, is charged with aggravated malicious wounding, attempted malicious wounding, shooting at an occupied vehicle, using a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possessing a firearm by a juvenile. Police arrested the teenager today without incident.
