A woman died in a crash on Bells Hill Road in Stafford County.
On Monday, August 8 at 8:24 p.m. deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of 77 Bells Hill Road, about a quarter mile from Mason Dixon Cafe on Route 1.

Summer has come to an end for Stafford County Public Schools students.
On Tuesday, August 9, students in kindergarten, sixth, and ninth grades will head to school on what the division calls its first-ever transition day.
Police in Prince William County were called to investigate two incidents involving alcohol. One person locked herself in a bathroom at a car dealership and refused to leave, police said.
Another exposed himself to drivers in Gainesville, police said.
On Saturday, August 6 at 4:22 p.m., officers responded to Dolphin Beach located at 15904 Dolphin Drive in Montclair to investigate a missing swimmer.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 38-year-old man, and two acquaintances, were swimming at the beach when he attempted to climb the dock’s ladder and suddenly went under the water.
