Stafford County Sheriff’s Office: “DUI Onville Road, 6/21, 12:52 a.m. Deputy S.C. Jett was traveling Eastbound on Barrett Heights Road when he observed a vehicle failing to maintain the lane of travel. Deputy Jett initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver.”
Prince William police: “On June 24, 1978, Deborah Frank, Sharon Lake & Karen Scarbrough were found dead in a Ryland Homes sales trailer in [Dale City]. Sharon was helping Deborah find a home. This was Karen’s first job upon graduating from high school. All 3 died from a gunshot wound.”
Washington Post: “The three women were each shot once in the back of the head and found lying side by side in a trailer used as a housing development office. Police yesterday called the shootings the worst crime in the history of the county.”
A 34-year-old man was shot dead in Manassas Park last night.
The suspect remains at large. We don’t know the circumstances of the case and will post more information when we have it.

12:40 p.m. Update: “Homicide Investigation – On June 23 at 9:42AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1900 block of Fort Monroe Ct in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, two men were located with gunshot injuries. Officers provided first aid to both men who were transported to area hospitals by fire & rescue personnel.
“One of the men has since died from his injuries sustained during the altercation. The second man remains hospitalized, his condition is currently unknown. The suspect, who is believed to be known to members of the home, fled the residence after the shooting and has not been located.

9:15 a.m. Prince William police: “Attempted Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] | Officer-Involved Shooting *ARREST– The suspected driver involved in an officer-involved shooting stemming from a stolen vehicle from the 7-Eleven located at 14797 Darbydale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) on June 22, has been charged.
“Officers initially responded to the 7-Eleven at approximately 10:06PM after the caller reportedly exited the business to discover their 2012 Dodge Journey, which was left unsecured with keys inside, had been stolen from the parking lot. Responding officers broadcasted a BOLO (be on the lookout) for the vehicle.:
Prince William police: “Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On June 18 at 4:09PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5600 block of Liberty Manor Cl. in [Dale City] to assist with a person in crisis. While attempting to take the individual into custody on an emergency custody order, he refused to follow officers’ commands and bit an officer.”
“During a brief struggle, the individual, identified as the accused, kicked an additional officer on more than one occasion before being taken into custody without further incident. The accused was transported to an area hospital for further evaluation. On June 21, following his release from the hospital, the accused, identified as Jaquan Christopher GANT, was arrested.”
Prince William police: “Carjacking – On June 4 at 9:50PM officers responded to investigate a vehicle that was reported stolen from the 13600 block of Richmond Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that day. The investigation revealed the victim made arrangements to sell the vehicle to an unknown individual via a social media app.”
“While in the above area, three unknown men, including the buyer, approached the victim. During the transaction, the buyer pushed the victim before the suspects got into the vehicle and fled the area. The victim also left the area and contacted the police. While investigating the incident, officers received information identifying the buyer and obtained warrants for his arrest. On June 20, the buyer, identified as Muhaned Siddiek EISA, was taken into custody without incident. The investigation remains active as officers attempt to identify the remaining two suspects.”
Stafford County Sheriff’s Office: “On June 17th at approximately 4:04 a.m. Deputy J.J. Suh responded to the intersection of Telegraph Road and Woodstock Lane for a report of an auto accident. It was advised instead of traveling on the road, the driver struck a power line pole, drove through a fence, and ended up a few hundred feet in a field.”
“When Deputy Suh arrived on scene, he located the Dodge Charger with heavy damage. The driver had the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and advised he was traveling nearly double the speed limit. After conducting field sobriety tests, Deputy Suh arrested the driver.
Stafford County Sheriff’s Office: “On June 16th at approximately 1:25 a.m. Deputy S.C. Jett responded to the Best Western, located at 2868 Richmond Highway, for a report of a disturbance. Dispatch received an open line call where they could hear people, who sounded intoxicated, mention someone had a gun. When Deputy Jett arrived on scene, he made contact with a male and female. The female advised she was currently in possession of the firearm. Due to the limited information, both were detained while deputies investigated what occurred.”
“It was discovered the two located were part of a group at Jay’s Sports Lounge. The group was causing a disturbance and were asked to leave. As they were leaving, the male handled his firearm and discharged it. Sergeant K.P. Lytle located the discharged shell casing later on. The female took possession of the firearm and the bag it was concealed in prior to Deputy Jett’s arrival.”
