Stafford County Sheriff’s Office: “On Monday, June 26th at 2:55 a.m. First Sergeant M.R. Flick attempted to stop an eastbound Chevy Malibu speeding in the 500 block of Garrisonville Road. The Chevy was also being operated without headlights.”

“Instead of stopping, the Chevy driver initiated a two-and-a-half-mile pursuit through North Stafford. The suspect continued eastbound on Garrisonville Road to the Wawa at 105 Garrisonville Road. He drove behind the business, through a hotel parking lot and exited onto Greenspring Drive.”

Stafford County Sheriff’s Office:DUI Onville Road, 6/21, 12:52 a.m. Deputy S.C. Jett was traveling Eastbound on Barrett Heights Road when he observed a vehicle failing to maintain the lane of travel. Deputy Jett initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver.”


Prince William

Prince William police: “On June 24, 1978, Deborah Frank, Sharon Lake & Karen Scarbrough were found dead in a Ryland Homes sales trailer in [Dale City]. Sharon was helping Deborah find a home. This was Karen’s first job upon graduating from high school. All 3 died from a gunshot wound.”

Washington Post: “The three women were each shot once in the back of the head and found lying side by side in a trailer used as a housing development office. Police yesterday called the shootings the worst crime in the history of the county.”

12:40 p.m. Update: “Homicide Investigation – On June 23 at 9:42AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1900 block of Fort Monroe Ct in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, two men were located with gunshot injuries. Officers provided first aid to both men who were transported to area hospitals by fire & rescue personnel.

“One of the men has since died from his injuries sustained during the altercation. The second man remains hospitalized, his condition is currently unknown. The suspect, who is believed to be known to members of the home, fled the residence after the shooting and has not been located.

9:15 a.m. Prince William police: “Attempted Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] | Officer-Involved Shooting *ARREST– The suspected driver involved in an officer-involved shooting stemming from a stolen vehicle from the 7-Eleven located at 14797 Darbydale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) on June 22, has been charged.

“Officers initially responded to the 7-Eleven at approximately 10:06PM after the caller reportedly exited the business to discover their 2012 Dodge Journey, which was left unsecured with keys inside, had been stolen from the parking lot. Responding officers broadcasted a BOLO (be on the lookout) for the vehicle.:

Prince William police: “Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On June 18 at 4:09PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5600 block of Liberty Manor Cl. in [Dale City] to assist with a person in crisis. While attempting to take the individual into custody on an emergency custody order, he refused to follow officers’ commands and bit an officer.”

“During a brief struggle, the individual, identified as the accused, kicked an additional officer on more than one occasion before being taken into custody without further incident. The accused was transported to an area hospital for further evaluation. On June 21, following his release from the hospital, the accused, identified as Jaquan Christopher GANT, was arrested.”
