On July 6, Prince William County detectives arrested a suspect concerning the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man, which occurred at the Cheshire Station Plaza located in the 4400 block of Cheshire Station Plaza in Dale City on June 14.
A man shot at Chesire Station Plaza succumbed to his injuries.
We first told you on Wednesday that detectives with the Prince William County Police Violent Crimes Bureau went to the shopping plaza at the intersection of Dale Boulevard and Minnieville Road on June 14. Police learned he died on Wednesday, June 15.
On June 14 at 1:59 p.m., officers went to the Cheshire Station Plaza located at the intersection of Dale Boulevard and Minnievilel Road in Dale City to investigate a shooting.
Police found a 19-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Bystanders and officers provided first aid to the man before rescue personnel arrived.
On Monday, June 13, at 7:30 p.m., Prince William County police officers went to the 4300 block of Dale Boulevard in Dale City, near the AMF Bowling Company, to investigate a robbery.
The victim, a 33-year-old man, told police that he was standing on a path in a nearby wooded area when he felt an object being placed against the back of his head. A man then threatened the victim before taking an undisclosed amount of money from the victim.
On May 25, the suspect sought in connection with the shooting that occurred at the athletic fields of Benton Middle School located at 7411 Hoadly Road in Woodbridge on May 1, was arrested.
Isaiah Malik Gordon, 23, of 16600 Harwood Oaks Court in Woodbridge, turned himself into police without incident. Gordon is charged with two counts of aggravated malicious wounding, one count of possession of a firearm on school grounds, two counts of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of use of a firearm while on school grounds.
During an extensive county police investigation, authorities identified a suspected distributor operating in the Woodbridge area in conjunction with the DEA and FBI.
On May 11, the police department, DEA, and ATF executed a search warrant at the distributor’s home on Palm Road in Dale City. A suspect was arrested without incident during the raid.
Virginia American Water and Prince William County unveiled a new Welcome to Dale City sign on Thursday, May 5, 2022. The unique stone sign with a concrete capstone is at Gideon Drive and Dale Boulevard, marking the entrance to Dale City.
“This is a very special day for Dale City and really Prince William County. We’ve got a lot of things in the hopper of revitalization. This sign, ‘Welcome to Dale City’ is a huge part of that because this is the entrance to this district,” Prince William County Neabsco District Supervisor Victor S. Angry said at a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony at the sign.
