Fredericksburg Nationals: “The Fredericksburg Nationals used another late-game rally to defeat the Delmarva Shorebirds 8-4.

“It was a quick start for the FredNat offense in the top of the second inning. Branden Boissiere doubled to begin the frame, then Roismar Quintana reached on an infield single. Blake Klassen drew a walk, too, loading the bases with no outs. Wilmer Perez then lined the first pitch of his AB for a single to give the FredNats a 1-0 lead. A pair of productive outs by John McHenry and Johnathon made it a three-run inning for Fredericksburg.”

On Thursday, July 13, 2023, Locust Shade Park will hold a reptile show as a part of their “Reptile World” program at the park’s amphitheater at 4701 Locust Shade Drive, Triangle.

The “Reptile World” program was made to introduce reptiles from around the world to the audience. Its main goal is to increase students’ interest, connection, and awareness of the natural world and its reptilian species.

The Center Square: “It’s uncertain how a May bill proposing further deregulation of Reagan National Airport will fare, but there are other efforts currently underway in Virginia that could offer more options for travelers to the capital region.”

“Manassas Regional Airport is discussing a possible expansion with airport management company Avports that would allow it to start offering commercial flights. Avports would lease the airport grounds and build a 35,000-square-foot addition, which could ultimately facilitate up to 30 commercial passenger flights per day.”

Perry was promoted to Interim General Manager after the departure of Nick Hall in early May, but will now move forward leading the day-to-day business operations of the FredNats.”

“The Silber family [team owner] expressed their excitement at having Perry assume the helm of the club.”

Virginia State Police: “Virginia State Police continues to investigate a fatal three-vehicle crash in Stafford County. The crash occurred Wednesday (July 5) at 4:42 a.m. on Interstate 95 at the 136-mile marker.”

“A 2022 Freightliner tractor-trailer was traveling northbound in the center lane when it attempted to change lanes into the right lane and collided with a northbound 2014 Nissan Altima. The impact caused both vehicles to veer into the left lane where they collided with a northbound 2010 Subaru Forrester. All three vehicles continued off the left side of the roadway and collided with the guardrail before the tractor-trailer overturned on top of the Nissan and Subaru.”
