During the 2020 pandemic, it served as a mass vaccination site. Now, Prince William County will open a crisis receiving center in the space near Potomac Mills mall.
The space at 14041 Worth Avenue in Woodbridge will house a center providing 23-hour monitoring for those in the middle of a mental health crisis. The center will aim to take the stress off police officers, who can spend an entire shift or more sitting with patients, returning those officers to the streets.

Nando’s PERi-PERi will give out free flame-grilled chicken and chips Monday, July 18, from 3 to 6 p..m at all US locations to celebrate Mandela Day, honoring the restaurant’s South African heritage.
To receive Nando’s signature meal–a quarter of chicken and fries –on the house, the brand is encouraging customers to donate new school supplies at Nando’s to support underserved local children and schools.
Mason Denaburg had a strong start, but the FredNat bats were only able to muster two hits in a 3-2 loss to the Augusta GreenJackets on Thursday night at SRP Park in Augusta, S.C.
Denaburg pitched four innings of one-run ball after allowing a single and a triple in the 1st inning. He allowed only two base runners after that and finished with five strikeouts in four innings pitched.
The move is an effort by the Board of Supervisors to help reduce crowding and parking issues at the park. Residents of Stafford and the City of Fredericksburg will park for free with a valid ID showing residence.
“This park is in a flood zone and was never meant to be a high-capacity destination venue. The water on that stretch of the river is also hazardous,” said the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. “While this was a difficult decision, we think charging for parking will cut down on some of the crowding from visitors, not from Stafford or Fredericksburg, making it a safer experience for everyone.”
