On November 11, 2024, a suspect was arrested in connection with a shooting incident on August 4, 2023, in Woodbridge, where the suspect fired multiple rounds at a vehicle. The suspect was charged with shooting into an unoccupied vehicle and reckless handling of a firearm, and is being held pending a court date.

Funland Fredericksburg has launched The Wishing Tree program, allowing guests to donate special experiences to families in need through Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Fredericksburg, with the park matching all donations.

The program runs from November 8 to December 15, with donated experiences distributed to families on December 15.

Cavalier Skating Center, 1920 Richmond Highway, 11/13, 7:42 p.m. Deputy R.T. Philippsen responded to an assault. The suspect misplaced his AirPods and blamed the victim for stealing them. The suspect forcibly searched the victim before assaulting him. The suspect was charged with assault and battery. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1,500 secured bond.

More than 300 people were at the unveiling of the new aircraft in Manassas, including industry professionals, partners, customers and government officials.

According to a press release from Electra, the hybrid aircraft will be able to conduct “ultra-short” takeoffs and landings in soccer field-size spaces, which were previously limited to helicopter landings.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Coffee with a Cop event on Wednesday, November 20, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Black Rifle Coffee Company at 591 Warrenton Road.


A suspect in an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven in Fredericksburg has been apprehended. In the early hours of November 13, 2024, a masked individual presented a firearm and demanded cash from a 7-Eleven cashier at 340 Amaret Street before fleeing on foot. Fredericksburg police shared surveillance footage details with Stafford County authorities, who located and arrested Marquis Harrell, 30, at a different 7-Eleven. Harrell faces multiple charges, including using a firearm in a felony, robbery, and brandishing a weapon. The investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be filed across jurisdictions.

On November 13, 2024, at 1:33 a.m., our E-911 Communications Center received a call about an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven located at 340 Amaret Street.


Prince William County Police Department reopened its field office at Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge earlier this month.

The field office will be utilized to support the mall, its visitors and tenants, but will also house members of the department’s recruitment team. According to a press release, the office will be available for new hire testing, report writing, meetings, training seminars and processing people who commit minor offenses. The location within the mall is behind the Round Bowling & Amusement.
