From the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office:

Target, 25 South Gateway Drive, 10/3, 7:05 p.m. Deputy R.L. Hubbard responded to a disturbance. The caller advised the driver of a “boxy” vehicle was screaming “he worships the devil!” While Satan was not located in the parking lot, Deputy Hubbard located the boxy vehicle and made contact with the driver. She had signs of intoxication, so field sobriety tests were conducted. Shortly after, the driver was detained and charged with driving under the influence. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.


On October 4, 2024, a male suspect entered a bank in Cosner’s Corner and handed the teller a note demanding money. During the attempt, the suspect displayed a knife but left without any cash. Deputies quickly arrived to search for the suspect, who was spotted and apprehended by a fire marshal in the area. The suspect was later charged with entering a bank armed with the intent to commit larceny.

October is Pedestrian Safety Month, and the Prince William Police Department is urging both pedestrians and drivers to prioritize safety on the roads. Drivers must stop for pedestrians in all crosswalks, while pedestrians are encouraged to use marked crosswalks and follow safety tips to avoid accidents.

Luigi Castiglia, the longtime owner of the William Street restaurant that still bears his name, bought the 19,000-square-foot building at 525 Caroline St. last week. The sales price for the 0.45-acre property was $1.9 million, according to Fitzhugh Johnson III, whose Johnson Realty Advisors firm had the listing.”


A new survey conducted by the Wason Center reveals that Vice President Kamala Harris leads former President Donald Trump by 11 points in the race for the White House among likely voters in Virginia.

Harris garners 52% of the vote compared to Trump’s 41%, with 4% of voters undecided and 3% choosing another candidate. Harris’s support is particularly strong among women, Black voters, and college-educated individuals, while Trump maintains strong backing among Republicans and a slight edge with white voters.

The Dumfries Triangle Volunteer Fire Department (Station 3, located at 18321 Jefferson Davis Highway) is pleased to announce the acquisition of a lent ambulance from Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue System. This collaboration enables the department to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance services to the Dumfries, Triangle and neighboring communities, enhancing local emergency response capabilities.


Two Stafford men received felonies after conspiring to rob a co-worker at gunpoint.

On September 23rd at approximately 9:13 p.m. Deputy W.E. Trainor responded to Genesis Logistics, located at 705 Bradburn Place, for a robbery. The victim advised he was just robbed at gunpoint for two pairs of shoes, valued at over $2,000.


The National Capital Chapter of the Construction Management Project Achievement Awards Program (CMAA) awarded the project this honor following its completion in late April.

CMAA recognized the project for its “innovative construction management” and collaboration between Prince William County’s Department of Transportation and ATCS, an engineering consulting firm, over the several years it took to finish the project.
