It’s been a busy week for both Project Mend-A-House and Covenant Presbyterian Church.

During Prince William County Public Schools’ Spring Break, April 11 to 15, the two organizations partnered to tackle more than 12 projects ranging from ramp installation, plumbing leaks, stair climber installations, and door replacements.


A familiar face from network television will perform at the Workhouse Arts Center.

Addison Agen from NBC’s The Voice, will perform on Saturday, May 7, 2022, in the Workhouse’s McGuireWoods Gallery.


One hundred years ago this year, a group of far-sighted women led the efforts to save Historic Kenmore, the family home of Betty Washington Lewis, President George Washington’s, and her husband, Fielding, from commercial development.

To commemorate the event, The George Washington Foundation invites visitors to celebrate the Foundation’s Centennial Anniversary with the Schoonmaker Concert at George Washington’s Ferry Farm. The show will feature a variety of swing, jazz, and patriotic music by the Lester Lanin Orchestra.


The Workhouse Arts Foundation announced MusicWorks, an extended concert event featuring nationally recognized musical acts and local favorites. MusicWorks, featuring Cory Wong, Sierra Hull, and Oh He Dead, is set to take place on June 3, 2022.

Between sets, MusicWorks attendees will have the opportunity to explore the Workhouse campus, including its many galleries, art installations, and common spaces. The Workhouse also plans to offer food and drink during the show.


The demolition derby will return to the Prince William County Fairgrounds this weekend.

The Crash ‘n Bash Demolition Derby starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the expo and events center outside Manassas, at 10624 Dumfries Road. Tickets for the event are sold on the fairground’s website and are $15 for ages 11 and up, $5 for ages 2 to 10, and children aged two and younger are free.


The Prince William County Park Ranger Division has announced they will be changing their on-call phone number beginning Friday, April 1, 2022.

You’ve missed your chance if you haven’t already signed up to run the Marine Corps Marathon this year.

The 47th-annual running of the famous marathon will be held in person this year, the first time since 2019, and nearly 20,000 runners from all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and 47 countries are now set to run in the event.
