The Mary Washington Hospital Foundation will host the 2022 Power of Pink Breast Cancer Walk to benefit Mary Washington Hospital Foundation’s Breast Cancer Fund.

This year’s walk will take place in person in Fredericksburg. The 2.2-mile route goes along Cowan Boulevard and includes a loop around the Mary Washington Hospital campus.


Stafford Hospital threw a community baby shower for about 500 expectant mothers.

The event drew nearly 20 vendors and residents from around the region to the hospital’s atrium. Moms and dads learned where to get pre-natal and post-partum care, access to community health services and nutrition, and where to find books to read to babies.


The remnants of Hurricane Ian moving into our area today will bring rain and wind to the region for at least the next three days. Initially, the annual event was slated for tomorrow, Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 10 am to 5 pm. 

Jubilee planners said this year’s event includes an assortment of fun for children and adults with over 100 craft and community booths, live music and entertainment, and food. 


The Prince William County Police Department held its second annual community fair on Saturday, September 24.

The event attracted families, members of law enforcement, and the county’s fire and rescue department, who educated residents about the roles of each public safety agency and how they can work together to keep the community safe.


The Prince William County Police Department will host a community fair on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, to celebrate the county’s diversity, embrace unity among the various communities in the county, and to showcase the many facets of police work in the county with displays, fun activities, appointments with a recruiter, pet adoptions and much more.

A host of Prince William County agencies will be on hand to register voters, sign up election officer volunteers, adopt a companion animal, complete a Child ID form for children’s safety, sign up to receive emergency alerts, learn about employment opportunities with the Police, Fire & Rescue and Public Safety Communications agencies.


Occoquan kicks off the fall season with the Fall Arts & Crafts Show on September 24 and 25, 2022.

More than 200 crafters, artisans, and local boutique owners will fill the streets of the historic district with vendor booths in just a few short weeks. The Craft Show will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and will take place rain or shine.


Sudley Elementary School is celebrating a milestone this year, its 50th anniversary.

On Saturday, October 15, 2022, Sudley students and their families will celebrate this anniversary with a fall festival of games, entertainment, and food trucks. In addition, former principals, Sudley retirees, and Prince William County dignitaries will be part of the celebration.


The Workhouse Arts Center is thrilled to announce the return of a Northern Virginia Halloween season favorite, the Workhouse Haunt, an immersive outdoor haunted trail.

This year’s haunt, “Nightmare Harvest,” will run on weekends from Saturday, October 1, through Saturday, November 5, 2022. Friday and Saturday hours are from 7 to 11 p.m., and Sunday hours are from 7 to 10 p.m.
