The deadline to register for the annual Spring Fever Race at Stafford Hospital is approaching.

The Stafford Hospital Foundation and Transurban, Sunshine Title Sponsor, will host the 2023 Spring Fever 5K Race to support the operation program, training, and equipment needs of Stafford Hospital.


It’s time for the 28th Annual Teen Art Show at the Fredericksburg Branch of the Central Rappahannock Regional Library.

The library will hold a reception to view the teen artwork submissions on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 7 p.m., at the Fredericksburg Library Branch, 1201 Caroline Street.


Stafford Hospital Foundation says Transurban, operator of the Interstate 495, 95, and 395 E-ZPass Express Lanes will be the Sunshine Title Sponsor of this year’s Spring Fever 5K race.

The race will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, on the campus of Stafford Hospital, 101 Hospital Center Boulevard in Stafford, and is part of the Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix, a series of nine races that take place in our region, and the Stafford Race Series, a set of five races to promote community engagement and wellness activities in the county.


The National Museum of the Marine Corps Fifth Annual Marine Corps Student Art Competition opens March 1, 2023, to all U.S. students in grades K-12. This year’s theme is “Leatherneck Legends.”

Student artists are asked to create a piece of 2D art inspired by the life, stories, and/or achievements of an individual Marine or “Leatherneck.” Suggestions include: a Marine from history (past or present), a Marine the student knows personally, Wounded Warrior Marines, Combat Veteran/Veteran Marines, or any United States Marine that the student artist believes is deserving of the “legend” title.

Regionally, the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office was featured on the show in December 2022. The show’s producers Producers call police agencies across the country, in rural, urban, and suburban areas, seeking departments to be featured on the show.
