City of Fredericksburg: “On Saturday, December 2, Fredericksburg will host one of our favorite Holiday traditions: the Fredericksburg Christmas Parade. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., guests can border the sidewalks of downtown Fredericksburg to enjoy the over-75 groups participating in the Parade.”

The Riverside Center for the Performing Arts is decked out for Christmas,  and its Christmas show reminds us what it means to be kind this holiday season.

The performance house is celebrating its 25 years in 2023 and is showing “Miracle on 34th Street” for its annual Christmas show. “Miracle on 34th Street” gets everyone in the holiday spirit.

Facebook: “The Greater Manassas Christmas Parade has been a fixture in the community for 76 years. The parade takes place [Saturday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m.]. This year’s event takes place on Saturday, December 2.”

“The parade has become one of the largest holiday parades in Northern Virginia with over 100 units-marching bands, floats, high-flying balloons and more. We have approximately 2,000 participants and over 300 volunteers.”

Christmas is about to arrive at ARTFactory in Manassas, as Rooftop Productions presents “White Christmas.”

Occoquan Mayor Earnie Porta: “Saturday, November 18, the town will host two dedications. First, at 3:00 p.m., town officials will cut the ribbon for the new welcome mural at the Route 123 entrance to town. This work, by artist Alethea Marie Robinson and commissioned by the Town Council, was selected from a number of wonderful submissions.”

“Then, at 3:30 p.m., town officials will cut the ribbon for the official naming of the island under the Route 123 bridge. For a period of approximately one year the island will be known and signed as ‘Heron’s Haven’, the name submitted by Tom and Mary Craig during the town’s island naming contest held last June during Riverfest. Please feel free to stop by both dedications this Saturday.”
