The Prince William Chamber of Commerce launched its new podcast, “The Other Prince William Podcast,” on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. The podcast will feature stories from local business owners, highlighting their beginnings and entrepreneurial journeys.

The first episode will feature local artist John Hartt, known for his distinctive and vibrant artwork visible throughout Manassas. The podcast aims to showcase the diverse stories of business owners, discussing how they launched and grew their businesses and how they connect to the community.

Riverside Center for Performing Arts showcases “Love Letters,” featuring Sally Struthers and Patrick A’Hearn, for a limited two-week engagement ending August 4, 2024.

“Love Letters” centers on the lifelong correspondence between Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, childhood friends from affluent backgrounds. Their story unfolds through exchanges of letters and postcards, revealing their personal journeys and romantic tensions spanning decades. The play navigates their separate paths through school, careers, and tumultuous personal lives, culminating in a poignant conclusion.

A young woman seeks to resolve the mystery of her past while a Soviet officer tries to stop her. She teams up with a con man and a former aristocrat on a journey to find a home, love, and family.

The U.S. Navy Band Cruisers are set to deliver a performance at the National Museum of the Marine Corps on July 25, 2024, at 7 p.m. This event is part of the ongoing MCHF Summer Concert Series.

Formed in 1999, the band consists of nine Navy members. The name, inspired by the Navy’s multi-missioned Cruiser ships, symbolizes the band’s versatile musical capabilities. Their repertoire includes jazz, rhythm blues, classic rock, and pop.

The Potomac Shores Trails Committee invites the public to participate in the Historic Dumfries Trail Walk on Saturday, July 27, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This free event will take place along the scenic paths of Heritage Ridge Trail, located at the intersection of Potomac River Blvd and Belle Isle Drive in Dumfries, VA.

Participants will have the opportunity to delve into the rich tapestry of local history, guided by experts from the Historic Dumfries organization. The walk will highlight significant events from the area’s past, including insights into the pre-colonial period, the Revolutionary War, and the Civil War.

In March 2024, detectives launched an investigation into multiple sexual assaults in Woodbridge, Prince William County, involving a female victim under 18 and her acquaintance, Keith Richard Wilson, who allegedly assaulted her on several occasions, including in a commuter parking lot. Wilson, who had a supervisory role over the victim in the Civil Air Patrol, was charged with two counts of indecent liberties and turned himself in on July 22; his court date is pending, and he was released on a $25,000 unsecured bond.

Three men, including two wanted suspects, were apprehended following a high-speed chase that started and ended near Centreport Parkway, involving maneuvers by deputies and state police to stop and capture the suspects. The pursuit involved a series of events, including a vehicle being pushed off the road, deputies sustaining injuries, and foot chases leading to the capture and arrest of all suspects on various charges, highlighting effective coordination among law enforcement agencies.

Three men, two of which were wanted, were found and captured after a pursuit that started and ended in the area of Centreport Parkway.
