At February 15, 2022 Board of Supervisor’s meeting, Stafford County Administrator Frederick Presley presented the FY2023 Proposed $700 million budget is slightly larger than the $696 million FY2022 budget adopted last year.

The 2023 fiscal year starts July 1, 2022.

Crystal Vanuch added her name to a growing list of Republicans vying to represent Virginia’s new 7th Congressional District.

Vanuch has served on the Stafford County Board of Supervisors since 2020 and serves as the Chair both this year and last year.

[Updated 10 a.m.] A Burke man is facing charges after an overnight barricade in Stafford County.

A man went into a home in the Garrison Woods Apartments off Onville Road in North Stafford about 11 p.m. Sunday, February 13. The man assaulted a woman, her daughter, and a dog, said a sheriff’s office spokesman.

Potomac Mills evacuated: A suspicious device that prompted police to evacuate part of Potomac Mills mall Saturday night has been determined not to pose threat to the public, according to Prince William County police. [Prince William Times]

Marie Eleanor Ferraro, 89, of Uniopolis, OH, died 6:35 p.m., Wed. Jan. 26, 2022, at The Acres of Wapakoneta, with her family at her side.

She was born Aug. 16, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late James & Henrietta (Esponita) Scarpati.  On Sept. 12, 1953, she married Richard James Ferraro, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 2009.
