A homeowner confronted a man who broke into his home, police said.
Manassas police were called to a burglary in progress on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 11 p.m., in the 8600 block of Liberia Avenue. According to police, the suspect broke a glass door and entered the home, where the homeowner confronted him.
A car overturned on Interstate 95 south near Dumfries.
Two people were inside the car when it overturned. Fire and rescue crews were dispatched to the scene at 11:46 a.m.
A building behind Ann’s Lobster Roll restaurant caught fire.
At 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, Stafford County Fire and Rescue crews went to a report of a structure fire in the 3300 block of U.S. Route 1, in the Widewater area of Stafford County.

A 57-year-old man from Front Royal died after his car crashed near Stonewall Memory Gardens cemetery.
