A man was arrested Sunday, April 24 after brandishing a handgun during a road rage incident in Stafford County.

At 6:23 p.m., Deputy E.E. West went to the area of Route 1 and Perchwood Drive, near Adventure Brewing Company. Duties West and J.W. Ahern located stopped a driver and conducted a stop in the 2000 block of Route 1.

On Friday, April 22, at 2:34 p.m., officers investigated a report of indecent exposure at the Woodwind Villa Apartments, 14400 block of Saxophone Way, near the Americana Grocery in Woodbridge on April 13.

The investigation revealed the victim, a 42-year-old woman, was walking her dog when she observed a man remove his pants and walk nude toward the leasing office. The man eventually returned, retrieved his pants, put them back on, and walked toward a breezeway.

The 24th Annual Eagle Festival at Mason Neck State Park in Lorton returns on May 7.

A man was stabbed Saturday night in Downtown Manassas.

Police were called on April 23, 2022, at 11:45 p.m., to the 9400 block of West Street, near a BB&T bank. According to police, one man was stabbed during the incident. Police could only describe the four men as black or Hispanic, wearing headscarves over their faces or ski masks.

Bahama Breeze Potomac Mills opened in 2013.

A man who stole a woman's purse pulled a knife on the victim when she tried to chase him down.

At 9:58 p.m. Saturday, April 23, officers went to the Bahama Breeze, at 2714 Potomac Mills Circle in Woodbridge to investigate a robbery. Police said a teenager entered the restaurant and grabbed a purse that was hanging on the wall near the hostess stand and fled.

A new, locally-owned, and operated educational center will open in Dumfries on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

The JOy of Literacy Learning Center at 17646 Main Street will provide tutoring for grades 3 through 8, including cursive writing by age group, Phonics, STEM Workshops, professional development workshops for adults, court-mandated co-parenting seminars, and seminars and retreats.

Balvin

Carlos Vaughn Balvin, 16, of Manassas, is an Eagle Scout.

To earn the honor, Balvin's required Eagle Scout project was planning, coordinating, and executing a 400-foot path through a wooded area at Liberia House, a 19th Century plantation at 8601 Portner Avenue in Manassas now owned by the city and used as an events center.
