On Monday, June 27, 2022, at 3 a.m., police responded at 7-Eleven in the 9200 block of Wellington Road in Manassas for a robbery report. A man walked into the store, implied he had a weapon, demanded cash, and then fled on foot, police said.

An officer called to the scene of a person matching the description of the suspect discarding clothing and money in the area of Bonham Circle and Miles Place, police said.

A Stafford County woman died after the car she was riding in ran off the road and struck a tree.

On Monday, June 27th, at 10:41 a.m., deputies went to a crash in the 1400 block of Route 1, near M & M Auto Parts. Deputies arrived to find a 2009 Dodge Journey had crashed into a tree, injuring the driver and a fron front seat passenger.

This meeting will be hosted by the department’s Crime Prevention Unit, and all members of the public are welcome to attend.

The meeting is intended to be a training session that will cover situational awareness, crime reporting, home security, and watch patrol. The training would enable attendees to start watching associations in their neighborhoods.

The U.S. Navy Band Cruisers will perform at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.

The band will perform on Thursday, June 30, as part of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation’s annual summer concert series, composed of eight of the Navy’s most dynamic performers. The Cruisers, formed in 1999, take their name and inspiration from the Navy’s most adaptable and multipurpose ship, the cruiser. The band lives up to its versatile namesake, playing musical genres from jazz to rhythm & blues, classic rock to pop, and their original material as well.

Conroy recently served as Vice President at United Bank. She will take over management of the ARTfactory on July 1, after 17 years in community banking and finance. A Woodbridge, Va. man faces multiple charges following a pursuit on Interstate 95 early Sunday, June 26.

At 2:56 a.m., a Virginia State Police trooper attempted to stop a Dodge Charger traveling south on I-95 near Exit 163 for Lorton. The traffic stop was for the license plate being reported stolen from Maryland.
