A Triangle man died in a crash Thursday, June 9, 2022, involving a tractor-trailer.
Virginia State Police is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash in Fauquier County at 1:20 a.m. along Route 17 south of Route 724 (Pleasant Vale Road).
The Prince William Board of County Supervisors recently endorsed the final design of the North Woodbridge Mobility Improvements Project, which will finish connecting the missing .28-mile section of Annapolis Way.
The horseshoe-shaped street links Routes 1 and 123 in Woodbridge.

Virginia State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash in Stafford County.
The crash occurred Sunday, June 5, 2022, at 9:04 a.m. along Interstate 95 at the 143 mile-marker, at Garrisonville Road in North Stafford.
The east section of I-66 between Route 29 in Gainesville and Route 29 in Centreville will be reduced to three travel lanes, with the left lane/HOV lane closed for six days. The closure will allow crews to work more efficiently in paving this section of the future Express Lanes and will reduce the traffic impacts of additional paving during the coming months. Three travel lanes will remain open in this section during peak travel periods.
Following the paving of the eastbound Express Lanes, crews will begin final paving for the future Express Lanes on I-66 West in late June. This will also include the general-purpose lanes between Route 29 in Gainesville and the I-495 Interchange, according to VDOT.
Retired FBI agents and panelists will meet for a panel discussion on the recent drug problems plaguing Prince William County.
The panel discussion will take place Thursday, June 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 14242 Spriggs Road in Woodbridge. The event is organized by Gina Ciarcia for Congress, whose seeking the Republican nomination in a June 21 Primary Election for the 7th District House of Representatives seat.

[Updated Tuesday, May 31, 2022] On Sunday, May 29t at 7:39 p.m. rescue crews were called to Austin Ridge Drive near Shields Road for a crash involving two vehicles. Drivers of both vehicles, and a passenger died at the scene.
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Unit is continuing to investigate the crash.
Lane closures are lifted on most interstates and major routes through noon Tuesday, May 31, for the Memorial Day holiday travel period.

The project will also convert the current southbound alignment into a two-way roadway for local traffic.
The 2-mile project will include retaining walls, storm drainage improvements, stormwater management facilities, pedestrian, and multi-modal improvements. The purpose project is to relieve existing and projected traffic congestion, manage access, as well as improve safety by including pedestrian infrastructure.
